Half the fun is trying to find your way to the Old Olive tree from Stari Bar (Old Town). I was told it was about 2 km from Stari Bar and was given directions but of course I must of asked over 5 locals along the way, just because it was getting late and rain seemed imminent and I was not sure if I was always on the correct route. A pack of cute stray dogs greeted me before the tree. Since I was the only one there, I got to touch the tree and get my picture hugging the tree. But during peak season the lady who worked at the welcome center told me they are very strict about keeping outside the fence borders. It is an amazing site to see, a very, very old tree with the most gorgeously decorated tree trunk I have ever seen. Humbling. Definitely worth the trouble to find it, just be sure to ask the locals and don't be fooled by someone who says it is not walkable. It took about 20 min only to walk.

It's really boring and nothing really to see in Budva; even old olive tree became a top-ranked attraction. But it’s the same situation in each town in Montenegro, you can be bored to death there.

A little slice of history - the tree is set in a lovely well kept courtyard. It is difficult to find and we relied on our taxi driver to show it to is.

This is inside the grounds, on the way out to the beach and promenade area. Interesting tree but hardly a tourist must-see.

You can approach it by car, and follow small path. Beautifull experience to be close to something that grows from the time Christ was born

Посетили это место в комплекте с посещением старого города неподалёку. Да дерево, да понимаешь его возраст, да место хорошо оформлено для туристов... Но непонятен маркетинг организаторов. Что бы купить сувениры нужно попасть на территорию. А вход туда платный. Близко к дереву Вы не подойдёте а посмотреть на него можно и с расстояния в 10 метров из за метрового заборчика.

Ездил на экскурсию в Старый Бар. И конечно же посмотрели эту старую древнюю оливу. Ей более 1000 лет. Является символом красоты и старости этих мест.

Были на экскурсии в городе Бар и попали к этому дереву. В голове не укладывается, что ему столько лет. Плохо, что самим, без экскурсии, туда добраться сложно.
