It is a must see if you are in the city. The clock was built by my family in 1820, and the tower by different families. A lot of old places in Tirona have been torn apart, this one remains as the logo of the city. It is unique in its own beauty.

We got access as part of free city tour. Tower open very short hours. Worth the climb. Next to mosque.

I recommend stopping at the Clock Tower when you are in Tirana. Located next to the Skanderbeg Statue and Square, you can have the staff open the tower for you. When you climb to the top, you have a great view of the city, (it is well-worth the climb). The tower is open during normal business hours and is closed on weekends and holidays, (luckily for me, I arrived on a national holiday, but while the museum was closed, some workers allowed several people to go to the top).

First visit the small (free) museum in the building next to the clock tower where you'll see approximately 40 artifacts of clothing and household items representative of Albania's traditional lifestyle. The employee will unlock the clock tower and you can climb to the top for amazing views over Skanderbeg Square. Not for the faint of heart and it's pretty small at the top so if you're afraid of heights and claustrophobic I'd probably avoid this. Send your camera up with another visitor so you get the great view, though!

The Tower gives you the opportunity to see the capital, Tirana in a great angle. A panoramic landscape.. and photo taking recommended!

The clock tower is one of the older attractions in Tirana. It was built in 1822 by Et’hem Bey who built the mosque right beside it. It sits in the south east corner of Skanderbeg Square. It is not much to look at, with very little decoration. In 1928 it was extended to its current height of 35m and for a time was the tallest structure in town. Kid's hang around here trying to sell pens to tourists. A friendly but inquisitive policeman also approached me while I was here taking a photo.

Expected much more! There is nothing to look at. It's just an old and shabby clock. The clock is quite hiden in between the buildings and you can't notice it even when you walk near by.

Not sure what people come here for, but didnt find it interesting or that useful. Plenty of other places to see in Tirana

The Clock Tower near the main mosque in Tirana is not only a landmark but a place to climb up to the top to get a great view. It is only open from 0800 to about 1500 (check hours locally). There is a small exhibit hall behind the Tower staffed with a guide who will also let you walk up to the top of the tower where you can get a great view. The stairs are steep and are not handicap accessible. Great views from the top and the exhibit is worth a few minutes also.

I went to visit but really its a basic tower, not attractive in anyway. You can enter and climb up but the views are hidden by the 2 big office towers there so you can only see in 2 directions. Basically it passed the time but there are better things to do and see in Tirania
