its a long way down and an even longer way back up, but if you have the energy you can enjoy this small secluded beach if you avoid the busy summer months

Lovely little beach that is very quiet out of season. Great cliff-top walks, and a super fish restaurant up above the beach, with fantastic views across Lagos, Meia Praia Beach, and out to sea

Great beach to walk to from Lagos. Very quiet in February and at high tide very little beach remains.

This is, without saying, one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole world. Pristine sand, clean, blue water, lovely rock formations... We were sitting for hours alone on the beach in awe of the beauty. But I bet that during the winter it gets really crowded.

Nestled between cliffs, Camilo Beach is really 2 beaches connected by a tunnel through the rock. Camilo Beach is accessed by a staircase with 200 steps. Before starting the descent enjoy the scenery: it’s stunning!Very close and with access from the same road, lays the Ponta da Piedade, an impressive rock formation, with cut and caves dug by the sea. This is one of the symbols of the region, which can be admired in its entirety on a boat tour, traveling around the interior of the caves and small deserted beaches embedded in the rocks. Both this places are well worth a visit. The views are astonishing!

If you don't mind going up and down alot of steps and your knees can handle it, this place is well worth a visit. The views are amazing! We did the steps with our 3 year old and managed just fine. No one was on the beach so he had all of the sand to himself which he loved. Very peaceful and a wonderful spot for photos.

Camilo Beach is one of the best beeches in Lagos, in fact it is really 2 beaches connected by a small tunnel. Although it is not a very large, there are a few caves that you can enter (at low tide), the down side is that it is not very friendly if a) you are not very fit, or b) if you have young children with push chairs etc. because there are over a 100 step down to the beach. The other down side is that the beach faces east, therefore the sun disappears behind the sand stone cliffs around 4 to 5 o'clock. But apart from that I still think that it is a wonderful beach.

but nothing to escape the crowds. Try to do the cliffwalk in Lagos, ist free and in every city map. You´ll get to see all the beaches and can figure out a nice place to watch the sunset. Two hours if you walk straight or make it a day trip and have a swim.

I just loved this place.Amazing views from the top of the stairs and I found the steps down and up easy. Really well made.We just walked around the bottom, there wasn't must room to set up as the tide was in, but you go through a little walk way to another little beach. The best place in the algarve by far, we also did sea kayaking before and went past all the beautiful little caves, and beaches. Also another must in the algarve.
