I fact I was in the Infoversum in order to see the very brilliant Jack Garratt, of which you will be hearing more, so it was a show but they were running the images above Jack's head and the combination of his music and the cosmic imagery was utterly amazing...he clearly thought so too as he spent half the show staring at the ceiling just like everyone else

Perfect. Very well designed and the show was breathtaking. After the dark side of tge moon they put the universe in 3D with pink floyd music

the infoversum offers several 3d movies, one of them being Skies over Groningen. I found it to be a wonderful experience, lying in the reclining chair watching stars, planets and other space elements go by. Thanks to the 3d technology it sometimes felt possible to touch planets or stars. Despite the name Groningen in the title, the city is not part of the show, it is solely about space. But the show is enthralling. Just watching a sky where the Milky Way is visible is already exciting as in real life this is not possible in The Netherlands, due to light polution. Besides that the show was very educational. It gives a good understanding of the vastness of space and the position of Earth in space. I understand that on Wednesday the show is aimed at children and therefor maybe presented slightly differently. Check with infoversum if that may be important for you.Price was 10 euros, in my view certainly worth it.

This theatre opening in June 2014 and I've been lucky enough to see two shos there so far. One was a 3D film entitled to "To Space and Back". The other was digital planetarium show with a live operator and commentator. I really enjoyed both of them.

The Infoversum (a dome theater projecting 3D films) has just recently opened in Groningen. It is the only one of it's kind in the Netherlands. There are only a few such theaters in the world. I visited Infoversum at the very beginning since they opened. At that time we experienced quite a few "childhood diseases" such as: the 3D system did not work and therefore we got to see the film in 2D. Also the checking of the tickets was done badly, but one can imagine this will certainly improve. The theater is impressive, built in a futuristic building that is an eye catcher. However, the film we did see in 2 D had beautiful images, but the dialogues were excruciatingly awful. It was undoubtedly meant to be shown to children of around 6 years old. So my advice is: check which film you want to see, and do avoid the film about the dinosaurs.

Geweldig gebouw, maar de film valt tegen. Voornamelijk de graphics, die kunnen veel beter. Af en toe waan je je in MS Paint & Word Art. In Valencia, Spanje vorig jaar ook een keer naar een koepelbiscoop geweest & daar zou het infoversum een voorbeeld aan moeten nemen. Neem een nieuwe grafische ontwerper voor het ontwerpen van de films alsjeblieft :)

De film van Darwin gezien en het was één van de mooiste dingen, die ik ooit gezien heb. Erg indrukwekkend, allemaal zo levensecht en zo dichtbij. In 3D met een speciale bril, computergestuurd.

Met collega's er heen geweest (kerstborrel) en de film To Space and Back gezien, was gewoon super! Heel bijzonder!

Samen met mijn man zijn wij naar de voorstelling " To space and back" geweest die erg mooi was en regelmatig zat je echt in de film aangezien het 3D was. Mooi gedaan. We zijn ook naar de open dag geweest waar een eigen film van een kwartier te zien was, die een slap aftreksel van de echt draaiende films was en gelukkig voor het INFOVERSUM hebben we die niet als eerste gezien, want anders waren we misschien niet meer geweest. Dus we gaan zeker nog een keer heen.

Op een gewone doordeweekse avond zijn er nog niet veel bezoekers in dit prachtige gebouw. De thuisblijvers hebben ongelijk want het is echt bijzonder wat je in het Infoversum kunt zien. De initiatefnemers van dit theater zijn sterrenkundigen, en daarom begint elke voorstelling met een blik op de actuele sterrenhemel - al dan niet gevolgd door een reisje doorons zonnestelsel, of zelfs door de Melkweg. Het bijzondere hier is dat het allemaal echt waar is. Dat wil zeggen: er is zoveel rekenkracht aanwezig dat het getoonde overeenkomt met de werkelijkheid. Wij waren er voor een film over de evolutie, primair aan de hand van het leven van Charles Darwin. Heel mooi gedaan, en zo realistisch dat je af en toe de vogels van je af moest slaan. Gaat dit zien!
