We had a lovely time at Shepreth, the staff were so nice, and many cute fluffeh animals, the enclosures were very well maintained and the animals all looked so contented. Best was the baby meerkats, too cute, we were lucky enough to see them out and playing, staff wouldn't let me take one home :(I recommend you go and support Shepreth, the staff obviously care greatly for the animals and that was lovely to see.

This is a great wildlife park to go to for the family with younger children. It is just right with a children's area, lovely calm animals and small paths leading through the park. I can fully recommend taking part in one of their many events that run throughout the year. The park has a Hedgehog Hospital next to it where they look after rescued, ill, hurt hedgehogs and baby hedgehogs. https://sheprethwildlifepark.co.uk/Html/index.php/2-uncategorised/72-events

Enter through the gift shop which looks like it needs a bit of TLC, price of entry was quite expensive considering it does not take long to walk round. Some cages were empty, but the highlights were the meerkats and the tigers. Doesn't take too long to walk round however there are bird of prety displays to watch and a bat enclosure you can walk through if you are brave enough! Cafe was overpriced with not much on offer, though they have you captive by this point. The overall feeling of the place is "could do better" and for the money I think there are better zoos and safari parks etc.

On visiting the park this afternoon, I was impressed with the work that take team are doing here. All the animals looks happy and healthy. I referred (by email) what I thought could be a potential problem with one of the animals and was greatly and pleasantly surprised that a member of staff had taken the time to reply personally with some history of the animal in question and my thoughts would be passed on. Yes, I agree with some of the comments that it is quite expensive, but then, we have to take into consideration the cost of keeping these animals and vets fees, all for our enjoyment. It was great to see Red Pandas, to be able to walk with bats, the Otters were very vocal and sweet, it was good to see hedgehogs being cared for with great affection. In good weather there appeared to be plenty of picnic areas and a good amount of hand washing stations. All in all I was pleased I made the visit, well done Shepreth Team.

Have not been here since our son was about 11. He is now 21! My husband and I visited and were totally amazed and very impressed at all the changes. LOTS of work has been done. The Red Panda was out and about and seeing the beatiful and magificent tiger on the top of the platformy thing from the bridge was my personal highlight.. There was a real feeling of nothing in between you and this amazing creature. The bat house is great.. Ooo and the bunnies running free we will mist certainly be back! Extremly good value for a fab day out!

I love this small friendly wildlife park - it has something for all ages and obviously cares deeply about its animals and the environment. I go frequently with members of our family - from young children to OAP's and all enjoy it. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We particularly like the big cats and meercats. The experiences are a wonderful gift and my mother in law will never forget her meercat experience. There is an indoor play area for the younger children to get rid of some energy while we enjoy a coffee and cake, they do a range of food to cater for most people. Although the park is small compared to the large zoos it is perfect for family days out - we never seem to have enough time. Thoroughly recommend Tiger Day.

My wife suggested the trip from Peterborough to visit Shepreth. I did the usual and checked reviews here and was a little concerned at some negative comments. Small was a comment that frequently popped up but that did not discourage me as it is a comment sometimes used to describe our favourite local wildlife park Hamerton near Sawtry which we are almost residents ourselves!Shepreth easily found well signposted - car park excellent despite recent bad weather - not poor as was claimed in one review. Also disabled spaces next to entrance which helped us immensely.Entrance is through the gift shop which is very well stocked with some good items not always seen elsewhere .Merchandise is also very reasonably priced. The lady on the desk was very pleasant and happy to help. There is a Costa machine here as well if you need a drink after your journey.Disabled toilet is just inside the entrance to the park adjacent to the shop so again great if you have had a long journey. Other toilets are spaced out through the park.Overall view is that this is a great place animals all look healthy and the park is very clean and litter free. The fact that there is running water in the form of lakes and streams throughout is a bonus and we look forward to a return trip in the summer.I don't understand the comments about worn out cages enclosures etc - they look fine in their rustic setting and I see no problems . As for comments about not many animals to see tell that to my camera! This is a wildlife park not a circus so people would do well to stand a while and keep quiet and observe (a good tip for any wildlife park or zoo) quite often you will then see what is about. We didn't see everything so have to go backHighlights very cute photogenic otters. Standing in the twighlight zone for half an hout and having a bat land on me several times I love bats.My wife loved seeing Amba and Rana the two tigers and the keepers talk even though we have heard other keepers talks was very informative.I would highly recommend Shepreth - if you want a clinical commercial zoo then just go to London. If you want a pleasant day out with friendly staff and animals who are clearly happy then come here

In July My children, 9 and 7 years old, and my dad 67 years old with walking disability went to Shepreth Park for a fun day out! We had the most marvellous time! The Park is well equipped for a person on a motorised chair, so my dad was able to enjoy all the park sites. The children loved the animals, the information was plenty and kept fun for everybody. Staff was excellent!! The introduction and Q&A tutorial before the "feed of the tigers" was educational, clear and my children came away buzzing! We had a spot of rain on the day and the covered play barn was a great refuge. My dad and I had some lovely food and drinks, while the kids played on the soft play area. I cannot fault the Park and I invite more people to spend the day. great day out for the family with picninc area (where you can eat your own prepared food!!! No need to spend extra!) Brilliant, children are already asking to repeat the experience next year!
