Visited with my daughter and husband on Mother's Day. Lovely shop and little self service cafe with home made cakes. Enjoyed my tea and brownie before walking around the gardens. Lovely gardens with lots of nooks and tunnels to explore. No idea where we were heading most of the time but always a lovely garden or view at the end of every tunnel or pathway. At the end we found the second hand book shop that works on an honesty box. Lovely seating to meander through the books. A lovely relaxing place, a place for everyone young or old

An absolutely stunning gem of a garden. We have visited lots of times. A great place to visit for all ages. Children will love exploring all the pathways, temples and tunnels. You can feed the fish in the lake and stroke one too if you are lucky as they are very tame. The Chinese garden is a mastery of planting, every view a picture postcard. A great collection of trees of all kinds and a mix of formal and informal plantings. A must for any garden enthusiast. You really do travel around the world in this garden and it packs an awful lot in. The tearoom is good. It isn't a massive menu but more importantly it is all homecooked. We had the soups last time we visited which were excellent. This is a venue that will please even those who don't like gardens as it is so unsual and interesting! Definately one not to be missed.

We spent an afternoon here. The gardens are beautiful all different types and all very well tended too. The old hall is lovely and the ice cream is not to be missed. Good value for money, it's good to see some of our historical sites been maintained and used,

Fantastic gardens to get little kiddies imaginations going. Walk through an English cottage garden, through Egypt, China, through small windy rock tunnels. Visit anytime, although Spring/summer is probably best. Not very good access for pushchairs/wheelchairs due to the nature of the gardens. Lovely little shop and tearoom.

On our first visit to these gardens, we received a very warm welcome, given good information and thoroughly enjoyed a walk around the gardens. In February, with snow on the ground, not a lot of people there. We loved it, and want to go back in the summer.

I came here with my two and five year olds along with other family members. The gardens we lovely although I think they would have been better in the summer. Access is not the easiest with a push chair. Anyone in a wheel chair would be limited in what they can see. Small second hand book shop was a nice addition. Would I go back? At some point but I won't be rushing to get back
