An interesting view to the history and present to Finnish police forces. Little bit out of the city center but if you are visiting the TUT, VTT or Police Academy spare some time for this museum, you won't BE dissappointed. When you to to Glasgow (Scotland) please visit the Police museum there, different kind of experience but as impressive as this in Tampere.

The location is a bit off the center but plenty of parking space and the museum is free for everyone. The exhibition is interesting for used vehicles to guns to literature to communication equipment to clothing etc...

Policemuseums and criminalmuseums are allways very interesting places. This too. Easy to visit and place usually is interesting because its situated at Finnish police education and training center. Worth to see old police cars and other systems.

Amazingly good museum for free! There were lot of interesting things for whole family. There were little police uniforms for kids to wear during the museum visit and little police hats you can take home with you.There were also small written tasks little museum visitors can do (searching things from the museum with given hints.)

The police museum surprised us by being free of charge. The museum itself contained history of Finnish police force, uniforms, vehicles, different devices, different rooms etc. Information is given in English also. Although we did not travel with children it was obvious they would have something to do there too as tiny police officers ran round the place with their tiny uniforms.

Музей тесно сотрудничает с местными органами правопорядка, так что он имеет возможность постоянно документировать и новейшую историю финской полиции. Работники музея имеют много помощников, которые собирают разнообразные документы и свидетельства о работе отдельных полицейских подразделений.

На удивление бесплатный музей. Можно познакомиться с историей финской полиции - посмотреть на униформу и автопарк прошлых лет.

Das Museum zeigt einen interessanten Einblick in die Geschichte der finnischen Polizei. Zwar ist das meiste auf Finnisch, aber der Eintritt ist kostenlos. Der Rundgang war für uns ziemlich schnell fertig - weil wir nicht alles lesen konnten. Fazit: Es lag auf dem Weg und war gratis und das Personal sehr freundlich. Grosse Umwege würden wir dafür nicht in Kauf nehmen.
