We did not actually see the waterfall with the music, we knew that in advance. But it was a beautiful scenery nevertheless. Though we managed to see the dam doors being opened one side at a time (to release some pressure perhaps) so the only thing we actually missed was the music. I am sure it is much more magnificent when it is opened with music and light.

We visited at the right time but the wrong season.. The riverbed in itself is pretty awesome but we were weeks too early to see the waterfall : (Since I could not find the information on the internet -I made a picture of the poster advertising the event!

I was so ready for the music show and all the lights after reading all the reviews!!! But... when we got there the hotel informed us that there had been so much water this spring that the doors of the dam are open the whole time. The shows are not on until the very last weekend of May... yep, missed it by one week!!! But still, it was worth the visit. beautiful nature, especially along the path behind the waterfall hotel.

Rocks are beautiful as everywhere in Karelia - but an action is only halfhour a day, so you need to plan carefully

It does not last too long and sometimes nice additional light show, located near the center and runs daily
