We did not expect to see such a great museum in a little town such as Tulcea. The museum seems recently renovated/updated to include lots of interactive displays and as such it is very informative and definitely not a boring, stodgy museum. It gives you a much better understanding of what the Delta is all about, how it came to be, about the plants and animals there, the life of the inhabitants. Very interesting! There's also a number of great fish-tanks with a large variety of species.Must visit if you're in Tulcea!

If you enjoy aquariums you will enjoy the three floors of displays.I was ready to leave after 30 minutes where my wife wanted a few more hours. After a short walk along the boardwalk and a few more steps up a street is the modern three story building. The lower floor is where the fish tanks, are located...some have English write-ups but not all. The ground floor is the delta information and video on a loop with English subtitles. Upstairs one will find static displays on fishing and harbours ecosystem displays. The aquarium has much information and is a nice building ....grand marble stairways to each floor, but there is an elevator. The cost is 5 lei or 15 for adults. A guided tour will cost 100 or the video for 40...

Interactive and educative, it is a joyful experience both for very young and more experienced visitors.

It's a nice place with a lot of information about Danube Delta, very modern and contemporary technology.

The museum is small , but very well organized and certainly more beautiful than I expected ! What we saw and discovered there about Danube Delta was like an useful introduction for all amazing things we have seen in our live trip trough the Danube channels in the next days!
