a special museum,the biggest in Romania : The Egg Museum.Eggs from 100 countries.In this area it is an old tradition to garnish all kind of eggs.

the exhibition is very nice and interesting. there are tons of beautiful handcrafted eggs. the entry fee is very low. the ugly part of this museum is the staff. they left us standing there and left because a bigger group of tourists came in. they don't have any parking.

We found Muzeul Ouliu (Decorated egg) to be most interesting and informative. We were aware that painted/decorative eggs are a European Easter tradition. We were most surprised to learn that it is much more universal than we ever imagined and that it is also a tradition in numerous non-Christian cultures. We were most pleased that it was included in our private tour of Romania.
