I have been to Iași Twice in the last year and a half and both times, the palace had been closed. It is very disappointing and not clearly communicated on various websites. Well the building is receiving so much needed renovations, the museums remain closed. The exterior of the building is stunning and a beautiful sight to see, however we were so disappointed that we were unable to go inside to see the museums

I saw the building in the spring of last year. Unfortunately at the time it was closed for works. I only had the chance to see it from the out side, but it is very impressive, and it is nice to see we take care of our monuments.

Situated at the end of the historical street Stefan cel Mare Boulevard, The Palace of Culture represents a tourist attraction that should be visited or at least seen and admired, considering that at present it is under renovation, by any tourist that comes to Iasi. The imposing Palace built in the neo-Gothic style, hosts behind its ornamented walls treasures of beauty and of great historical and cultural importance. The four museums from the Palace consist of no less than 299 rooms, the rooms themselves and the artefacts on display in their interior being a vivid image of the Romania's past when it comes to aspects concerning history, art, science or ethnography.More information about this symbol of Iasi and about the city can be found at the following link: http://www.rolandia.eu/the-palace-of-culture-iasi/

The exterior is beautiful as are the grounds. This is a must see in Iasi. Unfortunately, the reportedly gorgeous interior is still under renovation. Besides the fountains and restaurants the the Palas Mall surrounding the Palace, there are also original wooden plumbing displays and explanations of the old palace. Really interesting!

Currently closed for major renovations. The building is somewhat spectacular, but closed nonetheless....

Is is the soul, it is the place where Iasi was born. A lesson of history, a thought of how Iasi was born... You will just adore it.

Very beautiful and historical place to visit. I think most of Romanians take this treasure as granted but it is a stunning piece of architecture in this beautiful town.
