Summer or winter time it s beautiful and unique place uniting so much, the nature and culture, architecture and kitchen, funny events and still evenings. I love it since my childhood and I ll be in love with Neringa till I pass away, seriously!

Neringa is the last village before entering Russian territory and the road to Konigsberg as was now renamed and heavily industrialised as Kalingrad. Unhless you have a visa you cant cross over the border but then why would you this is a lovely little village very popular with German tourists in the Summer so book in advance to avoid disapointment in the main season. It also plays host to a jazz festival check calendar for dates

Since the year 2000 the Neringa Resort has been included in the list of World Heritage of UNESCO as a site of cultural landscape having many natural and cultural values. We were sorry that we couldn't stay more than 2 days, it's absolutely amazing. You have to visit the "Hill of Witches" (Raganu Kalnas) located in a forest in Juodkrante!

We stayed in Neringa with friends whilst the Marine weekend was on in Klapeida. It is area of natural beauty. It a protected area and is very beautiful. The boat trip is worth while and the buses run regularly. The food is very good quality ans smoked fish is the speciality. The vast woodland area is great for walking and cycling.

For me Neringa - is very famous place - from one side is Baltic like a lake, blue and quiet. Other side is wild, with a lot of waves, wind and sea drone. Nature with moving sands, it´s Sahara of the north. All restaurants are good and offer very delicious meal. Try national food, is very good.

Nice nature, relaxing atmosphere. Day trip would be too short. Unfortunately road tax and bad conditions of road

I visited with great expectations but found something a little bit average. This may have been because it was a little bit foggy and I couldn't see the extensive views I was hoping but really it was just ok compared to some of the other places I saw in Lithuania. I drove around by car, getting out occasionally and I'm sure a different experience would be had by cycling and camping but overall I found Neringa busy (queues for most restaurants at lunch) but 'controlled'. It was still fun to see, drive to the Russian border, do the car ferry and spend time at the Aquarium and Fort Museum, so I wouldn't say don't go but go and make you own mind up. I had different views of the Baltic on different days from different places - Karkle and Vente too and all are worth a visit.
