Nice to go for a walk and see the shops and bars full of people having fun or sitting down and talking. Sometimes you see also people playing music or dancing in the street

Claims to be the longest pedestrian street in Europe and that may well be true. Not best option or a grey damp day as there is no cover apart from shop fronts. Tree lined so would look completely different in summer. If you start at the old town end you can see a very impressive church in the distance and it looks worth the walk. unfortunately it looks less attractive as you get nearer and turned out to be locked when we visited.

Went there on a hunt for a good restaurant and found a lot to choose from. The boulevard is very beautiful and is not destroyed by the shops, it is simply too wide. Good possibilities to shop there. Dot expect eastern european prices, its like the rest of Europe. Was lucky to see a pro conservative family demonstration while enjoying a guinness at the restaurant.

Day or night, the Liberty Boulevard has something to offer for each and every of us. You can just stroll down the boulevard, have a great coffee and various types of food. You can enjoy the views and do some shopping, ranging from cheapest grocery shops to expensive clothing stores. It's strictly for pedestrians.

It was a nice area don't get me wrong but it's a very bland apart from the food options. But it was good to walk around and take photos and to be a tourist. Check out the surrounding area and backstreets around for some cool architecture that's really different than that in the UK.

This is a nice walkway from Old Town for a distance and goes for a distance of almost 2 km to the Church of St. Michael the Archangel. Along it, it has many nice shops, restaurants, hotels, clubs, and more. And the big feature for me is that there is Free WiFi for the whole way!

Laisves aleja runs east-west through the centre of the newer part of Kaunas, its western end leading to the city's Old Town. the central axis of the boulevard has many benches and is tree-lined. On either side of the boulevard are offices, shops and museums, many built in distinctive 1930s architecture. one of the most interesting buildings is the Central Post Office; step inside and you'll see beautiful facades and colourful depictions of old Lithuanian stamps that were recently restored.

Laisvės Alėja (literally Liberty Boulevard or Liberty Avenue) is a prominent pedestrian street in the city of Kaunas, Lithuania. It stretches between the St. Michael the Archangel's Byzantine-style church to the Central Post Office and Tadas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum, around the Kaunas Old Town, the oldest section of Kaunas. For a long time it was the main commercial district of Kaunas.Stretching for 1.6 kilometres (1 mi), Laisvės Alėja is the longest pedestrian street in Eastern Europe. Motor vehicles cannot travel along Laisvės Alėja, but can cross it at intersections with other streets where motor traffic is permitted. The boulevard is separated into two walkways by a median strip lined with linden trees. Both Kaunas State Musical Theatre and Kaunas State Drama Theatre are located along the street, as well as the Kaunas Red Cross Hospital.
