Really nice to touch base with a history of MKCiurlionis. His is definitely a kind of genius and we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

we liked seeing inside the wooden houses, looking at the furniture etc, which is really why we went in, but then we were really amazed at teh pictures, which were accompanied by music which he had written, very impressive. There are lots of MK Ciurlionio museu

Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis also known as M. K. Čiurlionis was a Lithuanian painter and composer.The memorial house of Ciurlionis is actually 4 buildings. I liked the piano concerts in the apple tree garden and really enjoyed the concerts.

the museum is old and so is the staff. Sometimes experience is good but in their case it probably just gives them more reasons to hate their own jobs and their customers.. The only nice thing is that they sometimes have piano concerts in the apple tree garden, really sweet, but the museum need to get reanimated.The exhibits are so-so, only a couple original paintings of M.K.C., none of his famous works.

In my memory it was a small house or maybe two small buildings with artist's paintings and music. But that memory comes from may years ago, when I first visited a museum with a school excursion.Lastt December I visited it again with a friend and we had a very private excurion, just two of us walking through 4 buildings. Yes, the memorial house of Ciurlionis is actually 4 buildings that belonged to family. There is a small information/ cash desk room, which is also a souvenir shop in the first building, and then visitors are shown the way to other three houses. The entraqnce fee is very small, I'd say really symbolic, and we were given a short free guided tour both in Lithuanian and English languages in the first room. Later we had a self guided tour with a possibility to read information sheets in eeach building. There was a woman who told us which room is which in each room, so I guess if we needed any additional information, we could get it too.We saw a glimpse of Ciurlionis parents' life, some of his paintings and an expo of a modern artist's work featured in the last house. No real paintings of Ciurlionis here, only copies (reproductions), they are in the big art gallery in Kaunas.The gift shop could be bigger and have more items to choose from, also it's easy to miss if you don't ask for it, because it's actually just a few shelves on the side of the room with a cash desk. The souvenirs we saw (and bought some) were really nice so, in my opinion, the museum should do something about making them more visible.

Для того, чтобы посетить этот отличный Мемориальный дом-музей М. К. Чюрлёниса, надо приехать в Друскининкай. Это сделать можно следующим образом: Прибыв на поезде или на самолёте из Москвы, Петербурга или какого-нибудь другого города России или другой страны-члена СНГ в Литву (в Вильнюс, Каунас или Палангу/Клайпеду), нужно отравиться на автовокзал городов: Вильнюса, Каунаса и (или) Паланги (Клайпеды) и оттуда на автобусе отправиться на курорт Друскининкай, расположенный на юге Литвы. Прибыв уже на автобусе в Друскининкай и остановившись в каком-нибудь отеле (это необязательно должен быть один из отелей предприятия "Grand SPA Lietuva") курорта, вы сможете просто пешком пройтись по улице М. К. Чюрлёниса и полюбоваться живописной красотой как самого курорта, так и его центра. Да ещё увидите озеро Друсконис, - одно из живописных озёр города. Когда увидите надпись на доме-музее: Memorialinis M. K. Čiurlionio namas-muziejus (Мемориальный дом-музей М. К. Чюрлёниса), значит, вы прибыли туда, куда вам надо. Очень советую посетить этот Мемориальный дом-музей Великого композитора и художника М. К. Чюрлёниса и хорошо, то есть внимательно осмотреть экспонаты, которые вы увидите в комнатах дома, в котором будущий композитор и художник провёл детство и юность, во всяком случае, там вырос, хоть и родился в Варене. Уверен, что, посмотрев экспозицию дома-музея, вы останетесь довольными не только посещением самого дома-музея, но и курорта Друскининкай! Tad sveiki atvykę į Lietuva ir į Druskininkus! Неплохо для общей информации. Если уж приехали на родину всемирно известного человека, то можно и узнать о нём чуть больше.

В Музей входит несколько домов в деревенском стиле, связанных с жизнью Чюрлёниса. Произведений автора немного, музей больше рассказывает о жизни художника и показывает жизнь семьи в Литве в конце XIX века.
