great choice of different sloapes, in Valbella not much queing and the ability to visit/use the Arosa skiregion is nice as well.

Huge wide pistes, not many people or après ski idiots make for perfect resort for families to improve their skiing in a safe environment. The lift to Arosa means early sunshine skiing before it gets busy. Some great restaurants as well. We will be back.

Great town for a family winter vacation. Well managed and expanded ski area. Great facilities for cross country skiing, skating, winter hiking and walking, and sledding.

Lenzerheide is a great ski resort with lots of runs and great variety of skiing slopes. Since last year there is a connection between Lenzerheide and Arosa, making the skiing options even more attractive.There are lots of activities for the non-skiers as well: nordic skiing, biathlon arena (nordic skiing and rifle shooting), ice skating or just walking/hiking on marked trails.In summer the resort offers golf, tennis, hiking and great mountain biking trails, as well as a downhill biking paradise.it is only a 90 minute drive from downtown Zurich, or you can take the train to Chur and the postal bus from the Chur train station up to the resort.

The Lenzerheide ski resort is a good size, with well connected ski areas and varied piste options. The Fadail ski area also incorporates slopes where those new to skiing can learn how to use button and t-bar lifts, as well as practise on the beginner pistes. The ski resort also now links over the mountain to the Arosa ski resort, which has further broadened the appeal of this area to skiers. On the slopes, there are a variety of bars and casual restaurants available which are easily accessed from the chair lifts. These tend to be open during the same hours as the pistes. I arranged for a ski guide to ski with me for 3 hours, and the knowledge and experience of the guide was excellent. This is definitely worth considering if you are looking to ski at the resort for the first time and/or are skiing alone. The resort also has good options for those looking for lessons and/or needing to hire ski equipment. There are different options for ski passes (daily, weekly, etc) and there is a discount given if you reuse your ski pass during the season.

Still a great ski area, which is now joined to Arosa to make it even bigger. Lots of choice of ski pistes and eating options.They have revised the pricing and now also have a 4-hour ticket available which starts from when you first use the lifts... great flexibility if you don't want to ski all day.

We've been going to Lenzerheide for a few years now and whether you ski or not, the resort is a wonderful place to be. Such a charming village with plenty of walking, cross country skiing, ice skating and of course downhill skiing. While the men in my family are all accomplished skiers they find their time in Lenzerheide fun with good skiing. This year was a little tricky with poor snow but the link to Arosa kept them busy and happy.

Just 90 minutes from Zurich, this place is one of five villages that are to Zurich and Zug what the Hamptons are to New York. Great ski pistes, well connected and with lots of special stuff for free stylers and snowboarders. Great value for families as the place goes out of its way to price things cheaply for kids.Also great in summer with the smaller kids. Tourist association has a day care facility for very little money. Super tracked Rodlebahn; 3.6km at about 40 km/h. Super rope park.All year round this is a greta family place. Val D'Isere or St. Anton it is not though; less acres-ski and night life. Some, which is good, but less.

It is a brilliant ski area and now with the new link to Arosa you don't have to do the 364 bends anymore. There is some good restaurant on both sides of the mountain.

The two ski resorts got linked last summer with a new cable car from the top of both resorts. It meant that the ski area was now closer to 200km. Lenzerheide is a long resort down a valley with some cross links, though from our hotel it was easier to get the ski bus to the East side. At the bottom end of the valley was a scenic ride on a 3km long railway/toboggan. Great fun.Skiing was well linked and a variety of different grades made the skiing challenging enough. When we crossed the valley the following day we went to Arosa and skied that area, longer runs in sunshine was really nice. The off piste was crusting a little bit, so we mostly stayed on piste. Ate in the mountain bars and had good food. Our third day was a little mix of the two resorts.Getting across takes quite a long time and its nice to keep skiing but to do the best runs you need to ride the cable cars which in Lenzerheide were small and slow. Most of the chairs were also slow unless they had been updated to make the link across to Arose work. Enjoyed both resorts
