it was great walking around the park covered in snow with friendly moose coming up to you. they wanted cuddles and the sandwich from your pocket. loved it here, stop by if you are in the area but if you are thinking of making a special trip then i wouldnt worry about it

On our way through Norway, Sweden and Finland we only saw reindeers. So to go home with also have seen a moose, we went to the park. The owner was very friendly. We accompanied other guests to see the nature movie and afterwards we went to see the moose. The animals were so big!! We were only 3 visitors so he let us in the fence to go real close to the animals. He even took pictures of us. We were impressed by the animals and the information given by the owner. Unfortunately we didn't see the male and the babies because they were out for a walk. After the visit, the owner remarked: hey, you guys didn't pay the entree fee yet! He put real trust in us that we would pay after the visit. In Belgium this wouldn't be so. So definitely recommended.

Me and a friend visited moose park in March (when they don't have any antlers unfortunately) and the owner Lars is a great guy really friendly, funny and informative! We got really up close and personnel with the moose and had a great few hours at the park (split between meeting the moose, a short film and a little show and tell). The moose park is very far away from everything but it really is worth a visit if you have your own car or Kiruna guidetur run tours down to the moose park from Kiruna...Lars did mention he is trying to move the park to kiruna, so watch this space! My advice is to go down to vittangi now while its still there, when/if they move to kiruna its going to be a huge tourist attraction and you won't get so much 1 on 1 time with the moose!

Not sure if this is the right place but we visited a place in Vittangi that began with an A and ended in park...it was a moose farm.Turned up and phoned the owner who said he'd be there in 35 minutes ish and he recommended went went down to local garage for a coffee and returned nearer the time.Local garage was about a 3 minute drive and stacked a large range of goods. Brought some bananas as apparently Moose go mental for bananas, had a coffe and stood chatting to garage lady who was very nice polite and helpful about moose farm and local area.Went back to moose farm 35 minutes later and the owner/guy that met us was called Lars and he took us straight down to meet the Mooses. Oh my what and incredible experience the mooses were very friendly, very big and very excited about the bananas. Lars was extremely funny and knowledgable, he answered all out question, cracked jokes made us laugh, made one of the mooses smile by whispering in its ear. We had the most amazing time and I would highly recommend a visit to the Moose farm at Vittangi.
