One of my absolut favourite parts of the city! Historic, old, charming full of small boutiques and cafés.

Its a small part of city. Best thing is the cobblestone streets, many caffees and bars. Great place to spend time with buddies!!!

Nice area for shopping and just taking a walk. Interesting shops not the usual chains. Lot of hipsters around and I can imagine that this area is very vibrant in the summertime. A must see in Göteborg, I'd say. Make sure to walk up to the tower, Skansan Kronan, it is worth the effort for the view.

A small town in the city. Nice place to go for a stroll and some shopping, if you are a serious shopper though, its far better to go to the newer part of town.

Cobblestone streets, pedestrian-friendly, great eclectic shops, dynamite selection of cafes and bars...a tourist's haven in the first settlement of Gothenburg outside the original city walls. Great place to spend an afternoon away from the Avenyn; much more relaxing and quiet. Find a cafe, cozy up to a good book, write in your journal...it will give you a new lease on life!

Haga is the place to go for a coffee, or lunch, and pay all the little shops a visit. There are everything from clothes, antiques and gifts to things for those interested in spirituality. Easy to get to, by foot or tram. Don't miss out on Haga, it might be the coolest part of central Gothenburg.Oh, this is outdoors, one car free street, I might add. Regarding accessibility for wheelchairs et c it differs from place to place but you'll be able to get in to most of the places. All cafés and restaurants have toilets, of course, although they are normally for guests only. I'd guess if you ask nicely most of them would let you use them anyway.Since this is my hometown I go there every now and again. It's a much nicer experience than if you go shopping in Nordstan where all shops are much the same as those you'll find everywhere else in the world.

In Haga, which originally was a working class residential area, has now been tastefully preserved. It is full of small boutique restaurants and fun antique shops etc. It is like Gothenburgs answer to Chelsea in London.

Haga is the best neighborhood in Gothenburg to enjoy "il dolce far niente". Shops are full of character and restaurants and bakeries are everywhere, serving good local beer, delicious swedish dishes and must-try pastries!

Haga is historic, its beauty and old. Most of the houses are in coloured wood and the streets are old. Here you can find some great shops and cafe. They are famous for the big cinnamon bun here in one cafe. Its very cosy area and long time ago it was even more beauty, but they took lots of houses away and build new one. But its still have the character and you have to visit if you here.

Shops are nice and there are many restaurants and cafes, but I didn't feel like it was an absolute must see. Going up the Skansen Kronen (a fortress of sorts) is more interesting than the actual streets!
