Lots of old planes from Swedish Airforce and the best is a flightsimulator for AJS Viggen. I "flow" it and even manage to land it but I was shaking all over. It felt so real that I almost forgot that I was staying put on ground. An realy awsome experience!

The flight simulator was amazing, and even though I crashed my aeroplane it was a lovely family day out which was topped off with cakes and coffee!

Very nice small museum and friendly volunteers! My cousin surprised my husband with the flight simulation experience as a gift. He was quite thrilled. There are not a lot of things to do in the rural areas of Sweden and the museum is a nice local attraction.

This museum is an ex-airbase F15 of Swedish air forces. Being at the outskirts of the town of Søderhamn it is better to be accessed by car (though there's definitely some public transport going there). I strongly recommend a guiding tour (which is free but I'm not sure in it's availability in other language than Swedish). This place is run by some charity society meaning they are really enthusiastic about stuff. Exhibition includes all the fighters and training planes in post-war history of Sweden except for the most recent generation. They also tell you about the way the base worked before - having a good guide it's really never boring.Kids can enjoy the simulator cabin (they have two - simple and really advanced). However it's not that fun for smaller kids (whom we had with us) and that's in general the only reason making me degrading my general rating.It might be not the reason to change you trip but if you are driving nearby (say taking E4 road) it'll worth a while.

The museum is slightly out of town so if you don't have a car you may need to investigate public transport. It consists of several rooms covering the history of the air base and one large hanger full of planes and further displays. Fighter aircraft from 1946 to 1997 are on display and whilst slightly crowded, makes for one of those 'discovery' museums as you walk through.Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

Ett mycket fint och välskött museum. Fick fin guidning av en intresserad herre. Kan verkligen rekommendera ett besök oavsett om man är flygintresserad eller inte. Vi återvänder gärna.

Mycket intressant och trevligt ställe. Med en av Europas bästa flygsimulator. Många olika flygplan från 40-talet fram till viggen.Rekommenderar detta ställe starkt för alla flygintresserade.
