Any thoughts of institutions like the Imperial War Museum in London - forget! This is local. The best display is inside the small museum building which shows the military history of the locality from Peter the Great's 'northern' fortress through to the Red army being based there.

visited with our friends and being interested in the Cold war thought this place might be of interest.It proved to be a great place to visit much of the information is in Estonian and the maps etc in Russian but it was an excellent visit with lots of things to do and see the kids loved it they were able to get into the exhibits such as armoured vehicles and trucks they were able to try on gasmasks and hold guns which they found very exciting.A good afternoon out

Small nice museum in the middle of woods. It was not easy to find, because there where only one sign at the last corner. It is worth visiting, if you are interesting military and border guards of late USSR. Place is former radar base. Exhibition includes vehicles, learning material, uniforms and lots of other things. Mostly outdoors.Entrance 2€/person.
