The museum is very small and there is not that much to see, but the experience with the stories of the guide gives a small glimpse about life in the Soviet Union.

KGB museum is nice trip to past. You can see how tourists were monitored and what kind of equipment were used. Museum is rather small...it is just a secret room

I honestly couldn't believe how small this museum was ,I kept thinking a wall would move and there would be a secret kgb lair ,but sadly I couldn't find it wasn't bad ,and to be trueful I really liked it . I found compared to other atractions it was a bit expensive

This guided tour wil cost you €10 which is a high price to pay in Tallinn compared to other museum's. But you will not be disappointed. Yana, the guide is very good in telling the KGB stories. She takes you back to the Soviet Union time and makes you experience what life was about then. With interesting information on KGB spying techniques and humorous stories of that time you will leave this 1 hour tour with loads of information. You should visit this museum unless you're afraid your being spied on.

The museum is very small, but with a very good and funny guide explaining things, it didn't feel like a very long hour. The price is however quite high (10€) for such a small museum. The view from the balconies are very nice, and you're allowed to take pictures of everything there is in the museum.

I would never normally tell someone what they *must* do with their holiday, but this was easily the best thing we experienced on an excellent holiday to Tallinn. The tour was short (about an hour long) but fascinating insight into the KGB and Estonia's past. Our tour guide, Jana, was simply perfect: she was engaging, knowledgeable and told fascinating stories with a good sense of black humour. She answered all questions and was keen to hear other people's experiences of staying in the hotel when it was still under KGB surveillance. Though the museum is small, there was a wealth of exhibits left behind by the KGB, which we were encouraged to touch and explore at our leisure.

This tour need to be booked in advance at the veru hotel. It cost 10€ Pp. the guide was enthusiastic and informative. She told interesting stories from the time. And even some of the other tourist came with their stories witch made it seem very alive and real

Whilst the museum in reality is only 2 rooms the guide, Jana brought it to life and made it a really interesting experience with stories of the building and what it was like to be under the Communist system. There are great views from the roof but don’t bother with the video shown after on the 2nd floor, it's just 70’s film clips of the city to a cheesy soundtrack, there is nothing about the KGB. If you only do one thing in Tallinn do this.

A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour made even better by the guide who was very humorous. Worth visiting in Tallinn to find out more about the soviet influences in Estonia and how life was back then.

We went to this museum in the winter, with almost no tourists. It was a bit hard to find the museum, as it is inside the hotel, and a tour must be booked in advance. However, you could go to the reception of the hotel and sign up right before the tour started. This might not be possible during tourist season though. With that being said, it is definitively worth a visit. Our guide was very knowledgable and made the tour very interesting and fun. There are only a few rooms to look at, old KGB office and surveillance room, but the tour became so much better by hearing the stories of how microphones were deployed in the hotel and the soviet ways things were done. The museum is located on the 22nd and 23rd floor, and it was possible to take photos from the balcony there. An amazing view; an additional bonus. Well worth trying!
