We visited this during e day. As part of the hop on hop off your you get free entry so make sure you tell them you've come off the bus. We took the tour, which was vet informative. The staff have an excellent amount of knowledge about Dublin and Irish history.

I attended this tour and it was very interesting. It is quite a gem with various items relating to twentieth century Ireland covering the walls of the beautiful Georgian house . I think the museum is suitable for all ages. We had a tour which was very quick, about 20 minutes, but our tour guide did point out things that we would have missed. There is also a U2 room upstairs if you are a fan. I would highly recommend visiting this museum and would squeeze it into your itinerary.

Really liked this museum. Our guide was terrific. Over the course of just under an hour, he took us through a history of Dublin using what - at first - seemed to be a random clutter of objects in two rooms of a large Edwardian house. Brilliant storytelling and some good (and bad!) jokes. I was particularly struck by how friendly all of the staff were, from reception onwards. They clearly love their subject and are interested in their visitors. We had a few minutes to wait before our tour and one came up to explain a couple of the objects that had drawn our attention. Might have seemed intrusive had he not been so genuine and enthusiastic. If you take the tour, you are free to wander in the museum yourself afterwards. I cannot recommend highly enough.

We went on the Green Hop on and Hop off bus and this was included. It was very charming and fun. The tour was guided, but we were late the to tour and decided to just self guide. I would recommend since the tour was a tight fit. I especially loved the U2 exhibit.

Thanks for your lovely review. We are delighted you enjoyed your visit. There is a lot packed into our exhibition space, all of it donated by the people of Dublin. Come and see us again soon as our exhibits change regularly.
