Very interesting and a must see attraction. We spent around 2 and half hours here and most of that time you are walking, so can be very tiring on the legs. The main Chapel is breathtaking, everything from the walls, floor, chandeliers are made from salt. Excellent day out.

Trip organised by Tom from Cracow4YOU. Excellent transfer to and from the mine. Tom spoke brilliant English and was able to answer our many questions on the history of Poland. Tom organised the tickets and photography pass for us. Brilliant trip.

A great tour of some beautiful salt working , sculptures, crystal chandeliers etc. You can even get married here ! There are a lot of descending steps at the beginning with a lift at the end so sensible shoes would be a good idea. The cathedral was amazing and the lighting and music made for a great experience. Its also quiet warm so layers is a good idea averaging 14-15 degrees C.

Everything about this place is amazing, starting from the stairs down the mine, through the salt mine chambers and tourist attractions, up to the ride with a lift back up top. The views are spectacular and you will be amazed at what people could do so long ago. If you have a day to spare while visiting Krakow, this place is a must.

Booked via a tour company. Service of which was prompt and efficient. Tour organised well with regards to tour guide, transfers, admission, direction, etc. However value for money is questionable! Previous day spent 7 hours for the same price (280 PLN/roughly €70 x2 adult's) for both concentration camps tours. Although both are hard to compare against, I felt my overall expectations of the salt mines were limited. Although there were great views , I felt personally there was a lot of repetition in the tour and a lot of waiting around in queues to allow for different tour groups to move from one exhibit to the next. The audio guide is a great bonus, however in parts the audio didn't work and you were left at times not hearing what the guide was explaining/showing etc, also noticed by other visitors. The main aspect for me was the cathedral at the end, by far the most breathtaking part of the tour, but I did think it was excessive to charge an extra fee just to take more photos here after the initial admission fee. Overall great to tick off the bucket list, but in regards impact, unless you really have a keen interest, there is more to see in this amazing and beautiful city especially during a short visit.
