it's a good place to spend a hot, sunny, spring afternoon there, reading a good book. the building itself is quite raw and rough in my opinion, but it's good to be there at least once ;)

What other library has a park on its roof? What other building do you know of that has a park on its roof? The views and atmosphere is great. The roof aside - the architectural features of the Library makes it one of the most beautiful buildings in Poland. This is a landmark building that if you have time to see, even from a distance, is worth the effort.

Beautiful, modern and original park. Perfect for relaxing and viewing the Warsaw's skyline from above.

Well worth seeing (right next to Hula Kula bowling) at any time during the year when it's open. The view is truly fantastic!

Go to the rooftop through the green gates just outside the university - it's got one of the best views of the city!

Nice gardens and roof-top view from the library. Interesting architecture from outside but inside looks very much influenced by industrial, Communist style.

Library of Warsaw University is a very interesting place. After visiting it I even want to become a student again. If I am a student in Warsaw I would spend all my free time here. Architecture is amazing, and the garden of roof is fantastic. Go and visit it. It is free of charges, but really wonderful. I promise you, you will like it.

The breathtaking rooftop garden, magical colors, garden paths, stream, gazebos - all on the roof of the library building ... :). The area is large, ideal for a walk - like a park :). From a vantage point in the corner of the building is a great panoramic view of the Vistula. A place worth visiting.

There are several things that I love about this garden: 1. It is totally non-extravagant. Ordinary "boring" plants and shrubs used in a super-clever way to make up a sturdy and low maintenance intensity garden. 2. The walkways and romantic two seat benches in the shrubs. 3. The stunning view of Warsaw.4. The super cool university library building underneath.I think everybody should visit this, also families with children. It feels really safe (I have small children so I think I have a fairly good judgement on this). It is also nice to take a walk in the area (we walked from Foksal).
