Very picturesque place, at least from out side. There is a tower you can climb on and a museum, some restaurants, gift shop, but don't buy there, save your $$$ and go to different locations.

Much to see. There are often some concerts and music-things going on. The palace itself is very pretty, not so long walk from the centre, or from the Waly Chrobrego...

The museum was on the small side but very interesting, particularly the tin coffins on display. There were English translations of key displays which was helpful. The entry fee was pretty low so I was quite happy with the price paid. There was a lovely cafe in a courtyard near the Tourist Information Centre that we went to a couple of times during our stay. The coffee and freshly-squeezed juice was very good and the ice cream sundae was absolutely delicious.Unfortunately, the main building of the castle was devoted to civic buildings and a restaurant so there wasn't much to see. Don't expect to see any stunning internal architecture as most of the building was destroyed in WW2. The external edifice was rebuilt beautifully, though.I'd have liked to climb up to the top of the bell tower but there was a lot of building work going on and we couldn't see how to get to it.All in all, a very good attraction and good value for money.

it was really nice visit, even though it was unpleasant to walk around due to the back pain I woke up with after staying at that horrible hotel.

A beautiful building well worth a visit.A lovely- but very hard to find cafe is within the courtyard. It is really hidden away without any signage. Try to find it because it is well worth it.

Pomeranian Dukes' Castle is a magical place. Apart from the entire history associated with the place, I always felt special and I had the impression that time has stopped. Almost every day in the summer time there are performances for children, women presentations and shows by local bands. Standing in the courtyard of the castle I like to look up because the architecture reminds me of intricately decorated cake. In the castle you can visit the chamber, tombs, and of course the tower with stunning views. Highly recommended.

Beatutiful building. Pay the 1.2zl to go up the observation tower the views are amazing! Charming courtyard to have a coffee/beer to settle nerves afterwards.

Big castle in the middle of town, with only some parts open for tourists. You buy your tickets in the tourist information located in the small courtyard. Then you can go on top of the tower with good views (that's one of at least three viewing towers in Szczecin town center, all with rather similar views). Your ticket gets you also to castle museum in an east wing, than you can go to the permanent/temporary exhibitions located all over castle (in small settings), than there's a crypt available free of charge, but open in summer only. Big courtyard is taken for a stage, when some live gigs and other events take place in warmer part of year.

At the time of visiting the site was being refurbished so not everything was open. I was able to see the small museum (all in Polish) which had some artefacts from the site, and climb the "scenic" tower for some stunning views over the city

When we went, there was a loud band playing in the courtyard (playing American music, ackk...) so we didn't stay long, but we enjoyed the viewing tower and would recommend it. It was about 1euro / person and the kids enjoyed both the climb to the top and the view. We didn't go to anywhere else in the castle so I don't know what else they have.
