My fourth visit to Gdansk and I am still blown away with the old town area and that of Dluga. You can spend hours walking around just soaking up the atmosphere of the rebuilt area. It is stunning and worthy of at least a day of exploration.You will not be disappointed by a visit to Gdansk.

Long Street is full of old façades put to new uses. There is a display which was erected yesterday showing Gdansk at the end of WWII. When you view the photos on the display and then look around yourself it is difficult to believe you are standing in the same place. You would swear you were in a historic city that had stood like this for centuries. Long Street has many cafés and shops but none of the Westernised Brand names yet, let's hope it stays that way.

This is the main street of the oldtown, so You will not miss it. It is full of people, cozy places to have a cup of tea or a burger. The main action takes place here. Amazing buildings, a city museum, gift shops (there is one best af all, next to ceramic shop, with nice and not too expensive souvenirs.

This is a must see. This is a pedestrianized wide street less than 200m that runs from the end of long lane to the green gate.There is virtually loads of shops and restaurants. There was also complimentary wifi which came in handy for us in finding a restaurant to eat at.
Meet-the-Furkids

This very famous street is full of picture postcard buildings and is lovely both day & night. Plenty of little shops and restaurants to while away an hour or two. There are street entertainers around and quite a buzzing atmosphere. Its obviously very touristy but it wasn't so busy that it was overwhelming. We enjoyed many a stroll down this street.

One of the more know streets and when you walk through the arch way you will know why....excellent gift shops...excellent restaurants and the local people soooo friendly,take a camera!!!!!

Lots of restaurants and little shops. Street is so tiny that you walked that very fast. I was there in december and in the night it was quite nice because the lighting and christmas decorations.

The old buildings in the main street, both Dluga and Dluga Targ, are beautiful and rare. It kinda remindes me of Amsterdam, but in a bigger and more beautiful scale. It must be said to be the main attraction in Gdansk, and you don't get used to the sight. Walking up and down, it's get more and more interestning. Use a couple of hours and eat and drink in some of the restaurants and cafes. The street is a must see!

Nice street full of tourist shops and resturants but not to much to see. Felt very safe though and we were not bothered by beggers or street vendors like you get in other cities.

Beautiful street which is full of restaurants and cafes which unlike those in other cities are not overpriced to scam tourists.
