If you're in Białystok or somewhere nearby I recommend finding three hours and visiting Kruszyniany. Entrance to the mosque is paid (8 pln per adult, 5 for children) but it includes a tour guide, who is will tell you all about his religion and customs. It's really interesting and so different that you will not be bored! Tour includes visit to muslim cementary one of the three existing in Poland. After the tour you can have a dinner in the tatar restaurant serving traditional dishes.

We sat in a mosque and listened to a Tatar explain his religion and customs, one mile from the border. Down the road, there is a Tatar restaurant and a beautifully painted yurt.

Did you know that in the limits of Poland, close to Bielorousian border ther are one vilage where Muslim Tartars are living from 400 years? They kept their religion, tradition, customs, food....In Kruszyniany village they have the Mosque where they meet for prayer. You can visit this Mosque. The Tartar guide present traditions of Polish Tartars and their history. Close to the Mosque there is a Tartar cemetary . It is really worthy to go there

We did not go inside the mosque but were very surprised to discover it... We were inspired to find out more about these unique people. We had lunch in the nearby restaurant where and it was delicious. Well worth the stop!

I have visited the Kruszyniany village in May. The mosque's guide was great. He told us a lot about the history of Polish Tatars, muslim religion and answered all the question. The Kruszyniany village is very pretty and there is a Tatar restaurant only about 200m from the mosque where you can taste a traditional Tatar's food. The guide has a very good sense of humor. He also showed us the only Tatar's cementary in Poland (behind the mosque). Generally it was a very interesting day.

Extremely helpful guide who told us all about the history and traditions of the Polish Tartar Muslims of this area, pointed us towards a great Tartar restaurant (eaten at by Prince Charles), in a beautiful village full of quaint wooden houses and peaceful misted meadows. Unlike anywhere else in Poland. Worthwhile addition to a trip to Bialowieza/Bialystok.

It was a whole day trip. Place well worth to see. Great Tatar guide explaining basic rules of Islam and customs of Polish Tatars. He opened our eyes to fact that we are living next to each others with a nation and their own very special culture.
