Go for the house as much as the collection, and great views of the cathedral and square from the windows. Lots of stone and stained glass work originally from the cathedral, definitely worth half an hour of your time. Free bags and coats lockers.

The collection of priceless beautiful artifacts alone does not guarantee a great museum. The integrity and vision of the founder of this museum has been retained and I spent 5 hours quite effortlessly here.(With breaks for the delicious patisserie not far away!)The amazing stained glass has been housed in discreet rooms so thoughtfully lit that you focus immediately. The sculpture and furnishings, wonderful paintings and other artifacts so engrossed me that I wanted to sketch-and the delightful staff offered to give me a chair each time. The wonderful stone spiral staircase from the early 16th century and beamed rooms from old Alsacian houses make this a unique architectural experience to view the collection.The Musee de l'Oevre Notre -Dame is at the top of my list of favourite museums in Europe. I cannot wait to return.

Excellent museum housed in a special building. It is where the artisans working on the cathedral lived and worked. Free on the first Sunday of the month but worth paying for.

Right in the middle of the bustling little town of Strasbourg is their very own Notre Dame. Don't bother looking for the Hunchback. He's out of town. Nonetheless, it's worth a trip to see this cathedral.

Since this is just across from the side of the cathedral we decided to go in. This is a large museum filled with original sculpture from the cathedral and many paintings and artifacts from the Middle Ages and onward. Really impressive, top quality.

After having climbed the spire of the famous Munster we went to this outstandingly beautiful museum just opposite the cathedral!An added joy was that on a Sunday the entrance is free!There are unforgettable exhibits in the museum and the atmosphere is a very fine, truly medieval one. Luckily, there were not many visitors and even my teenage daughter enjoyed the leisurely stroll through a remote but also very appealing world.

We made a short visit to the Cathedral, and the interior of the cathedral is really amazing. The cathedral covers a long stretch, with beautiful mosaic windows and chandeliers in the dimly-lit cathedral.There are also many cafes around the cathedral, where you can just sit around and watch passerbys carry on with their lives while the cathedral clock chimes at the background.

What an unexpected delight. Floor by floor you see the history of the cathedral in hard form. Statues that have been replaced from the cathedral take centre stage but it would be a mistake to think this place limits itself to that. The range of exhibits is huge and extends even to a medieval garden.A wonderful time was spent there.

So much to see here and not crowded at all and so you can take your time. Only found this by accident but do go after you have been to the Cathedral. An atmospheric building.

This museum was wonderful. Get the museum pass here and see all the museums for choucroute1 price. If you are a senior, ask for the reduced price - it would have been 3 eu for the one, but we paid 6 for the pass. There is an English guide book available.
