I liked the history of this accessible place. You can touch, smell and feel the passage of time. You'll like the ampitheatre with the amazing acoustics. Free to get into and beautifully kept.Nothing mush to dislike here.

This museum is a must visit - there are 4 parts to it, covered by one ticket and after watching the video in Engllsh or French you can explore the site including an amphitheatre and Roman baths - educational and beautiful.

After a trip around the roman museum it was a super place to rest. Just loved the setting, menu, staff and service. Lucky to get in as many tables reserved.

What is now Jublains was the site of the Roman town Noviodunum which was the administrative centre for the Roman control of Gaul. You can visit the remains of a Roman theatre, a Roman temple, Roman baths and what is now thought to have been a fortified Roman granary. This latter covers a huge area of ground, with very substantial walls still preserved up to the first floor height. All the sites are free, except the granary, but the entry here of 4 euros also gets you into the onsite museum which has a wide range of beautifully-presented Roman artefacts.Depending on which day you go, you may also be able to watch live entertainment in the form of living history demonstrations. We were fortunate enough to catch a very impressive 45 minute demonstration as to how first-century Gallic warriors might have fought on horseback, complete with amazingly well-trained horses and lethal-looking weaponry. An excellent example of experimental archaeology in action. You need to allow at least three hours for a visit if you want to see everything, especially if you also watch a demonstration. The sites are some distances apart: you can walk from the granary to the baths, which are inside the church, and then on to the theatre, but the temple is on the edge of the town.

This is a very good site, free of charge and a most. You should also visit the museum and amphitheater. The museum has always got a good exhibition of roman finds and the location is good.

The Town has some great ruins from the Roman times: Forum, Theatre, Fortress and Roman baths. If you are around don't miss this place. I also recommend the visit to the Museum with some pieces that they discovered around the ruins.

Franchement a voir !
