This museum is amazing it was on a much grander scale than we had imagined and truly like nothing we had seen before. We visited with two children aged 8 and 3 and they too enjoyed it. There was also a play area for them run around on while we took in the sculptures at length. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a lovely outdoor art museum designed by the sculptor and embedded into the landscape. The tributes to other artists are wonderful and forbus the highlight was the water garden surrounded by statues inspired by South American native art.

Prepare to be amazed by what you see here. Most of it is in the open air, the buidings, sculptures and the bewildering art is like nothing else. If you are near Laval, then you must make the effort to visit this astounding place. The museum is not huge but it will take you sometime to absorb what Robert Tatin has created here. This is definitely not a boring museum!

This is a kind of museum all outside and showing a wide range of the artistic realisations of Robert Tatin. Take time to visit within an afternoon and appreciate.

This museum represents the lifetime work of painter, sculptor and craftsman Robert Tatin (1902-1983). Tatin was born into a poor family in rural France and subsequently took to painting and sculpting. His work is strongly influenced by circus imagery (his father joined a travelling fair when Robert was young), astronomy, nature and the work of other artists and craftsmen he saw during his extensive travels through Europe and South America. The Museum was established by Tatin progressively through his latter years and in an old ruined farmhouse he bought for the purpose. the surreal museum, which he himself designed with his wife (who is still alive), houses a huge range of varied works by Tatin illustrating his incredible ability to work in just about all mediums and styles. Entry is charged at the reception area and an additional payment affords you the option for a guided tour around Tatin's remarkable cottage (NB Guides are multilingual and escort you individually) which remains as it was when he died. It is where he created all his artworks. In the surrounding gardens are a small collection of sculptures by others set in natural surroundings. A real unexpected treat in an unexpected location. Don't miss it
