Took our two grandchildren here.A great time had by all. Luckily we saw all the animals. Plenty of picnic tables and other seats around.

We went here in the middle of winter, but still saw lots of animals - there were hardly any people at all. It's a good few hours' walk so great exercise for older kids, but for small children I would recommend bringing snacks and taking rests.

What a great park!. We arrived around 10:30, which is feeding time. All the animals were active and being fed, and the park staff allow kids to enter the enclosures and feed the animals where possible. The enclosures are quite large and not over-crowded for the animals, and the viewing areas are very close. Probably the most enjoyable zoo experience we've had.

This Zoo is small but it is a very interesting zoo as it presents animals which live or used to live in the Pyrenee mountains. Visitors walk on a nature foot-path that snakes in & out of animal enclosures, and in most sectors of the zoo, the visitors are allowed to mingle with the zoo's tame animals, but the wild animals are kept in their enclosures for your safety (ie the bears and wolves). This zoo houses a pair of bears, a few groundhogs, a pack of wolves, a good variety of deers and ibex.I advice visitors to visit the zoo during the morning feeding hours in order to be able to see all the animals that are kept in the zoo. Morning feeding hours are around 10h and 11h in the morning. When you come at this feeding hour, it is possible to cover the entire zoo in an hour or an hour and a half, as all the animals will be within your view (or children's view). The bears and the groundhogs hibernate in winter so the best time to view them is between after late spring and before winter. Visit it in your best shoes for nature walk, but try not to forget your rubber boots or shoes when it is a wet day.In my opinion, this small zoo is perfect for all kind of visitors (visitors with or without children) due to the variety of regional animals which are being showcased by the zoo. It is child-friendly as it is not too small and neither it is too big to bring children or babies for a walk. Plus the zoo is almost a 'petting-zoo' for the little children.PS: The public bathrooms are outside the entrance of the zoo, at the zoo's only parking lot.

This is a great place to visit for families, couples or singles! Children love it.The animals are those that are found in the Pyrenees or used to be found there. They are in large enclosures with lots of space to roam. The path through the park takes you through many of these enclosures; but, fortunately, not the wolves or the brown bears! There are two way-marked routes; one long about two and a half hours allowing for photos (many!) along the way and a much shorter route that we have never taken. Some of the animals are very impressive; others very cute! The paths go up and down hill and good footwear is a must as there are tree roots, rocks etc in the paths. We have taken quite a few friends here and they have all enjoyed it very much.

What a unique experience this is. An enjoyable walk about 1600m up in the pine forest, in the summer or in the autumn (snow if you are lucky). Watch and approach healthy animals in near-as-you-can-get natural environment (only an occasional and generally discreet protective fence). Easy to read and well illustrated comprehensive information panels.Very reasonable entry fee, almost want to give them more it's so well kept and such a pleasant experience. We have been there twice in ten years. Only regret is that we live 7000km away so we can't go every weekend!

Very good visit, Excellent interpretation for english speakers. Didn't see the wolves though. But it was the middle of the day and very hot.Would suggest visiting earlier in the day before the heat, makes everything sleepy. Our daughter loved the Fallow deer, (very vocal and friendly).
