Having read other reviews and because we were passing close by, we went for a look see. Without doubt they are quite extraordinary geological/water feature. Lots of warning notices about dangerous swimming and the number of folk killed there so it was quite a surprise when we actually got there (about 800m walk from the car park) to find hordes of people in the water. There was also a major drama going on with about 30 gendarmes and sapeur pompiers and at least 10 emergency vehicles involved in some kind of rescue, presumably someone who had ignored the warning notices. They were then joined by a rescue helicopter which got the gendarmes quite excited and officious about removing onlookers form anywhere close to the rescue site. No doubt the falls would be amazing when the river is in spate and when there are fewer people around but otherwise I would recommend avoiding high season.

Amazing sight, almost can't believe my eyes to see natural water park like this. Sensational experience :)Very interesting but a bit dangerous though. Beware of the water current when you swim.

These cascades are beautiful to watch! But beware, we went there in july and the place was crowded! A lot of daredevils showing off by jumping from the highest rocks. If you don't mind this, then you could really enjoy this place and take a swim in the river as we did. Be carefull though because the waters are tricky and every year people die (but mostly because of jumping into the waters). The waterfall itself is very beautiful and especially the rocks are very dramatic. It's also easy to reach by car. There's a parking lot where you have to pay 4 euros, and then you can make a short but nice walk to this waterfall.

Another visit to this favourite spot and a great place for messing about in a river. But beware of the hidden dangers when the water rises.

These beautiful cascades are very dramatic on one side of the river, and inviting to wade in on the other side. (No lifeguards, of course!) The dramatic side is an easy, level walk from the parking lot. The swimming /wading side is easy to reach by car - turn left before the one-lane bridge .(Note- there was a group of teenage daredevil divers diving off the rocks into the deep chasms (see pix) , but that's not something I would try! A favorite spot for French locals- I think we were the only non-French people there.

Beau site mais voiture cassée et pneu crevé au retour d'une mini découverte de 10 minutes ...à priori c'est connu ! ça gâche la visite !

Bonjour.Habitant à 30 minutes c'est un site que j'ai fréquenté toute mon enfance ce jusqu'à mes 30 ans...Voilà plus de 10 ans que je n'y vais quasiment plus.La cause?C'est une décheterie, une porcherie!!!!J'y suis retourné en septembre 2014, quelle horreur, des marmites pleines à raz bord de détritus!Les moindres failles, trous, marmites sont pleines!Dommage le site était magnifique mais l'espèce humaine comme partout pourrie tout!Je suis des "gorges de l'Ardèche" même constat, celles-ci faites à pied couramment c'est dégueulasse partout! Et nos prisons sont pleines...Faites les donc bosser là!!!!!Quelle honte aussi le parking devenu payant depuis une dizaine d'année alors que partout trônent des panneaux "accés interdit, baignade dangereuse"...Et à quoi servent les fonds récoltés???Pas à nettoyer assurément...

super cascades et magnifique village de la Roque sur Céze. faites la visite sur la rive gauche plus jolie. Mais attention ou vous laisserez votre véhicule. Le noble a été fracturé sur le parking

Ces magnifiques cascades sont incroyablement belles ! Bien que l'interdiction d'y nager est bien annoncée par plusieurs panneaux, bon nombre de touristes s'y aventurent, notamment en sautant de la falaise, à plus de 10m de haut ! Les dangers sont invisibles car même dans les endroits où l'eau semble tranquille, il existe des tourbillons profonds qui peuvent entraîner le nageur inconscient ! Très bel endroit où pique-niquer par exemple !

Si vous passez dans la région, n'hésitez pas à vous y rendre , en plus d'un site incroyable et sublime, vous y trouverez un calme ressourçant et une eau très agréable pour se baigner ! Les villages aux alentours valent le détour !
