Up and down the Col twice. Southern side is quite different. Great climb though - would recommend it. Hard work from Guillestre when it's hot but well worth it at the Col.

Col de VarsCol de la BonnetteCol de la CayolleCol d'Allosand one could go on almost endlessly. Go there outside of the holiday season and you will be king of the road! The panorama's are amazing and the roads demand a lot riding skills.

Cycled the Cars as part of the Route De Grande Alpes. The Vars is very fast on the way down . south side. Fab views too.

A roadside cafe that is powered by generators.... Coffee and "tarte aux Myrtilles" every time.....but watch out for the german motorcyclists as you cross the road!

Mountains are really impressive and the view keeps changeing. Dont drive to close to the cyclists, they need space!

Vars e la localita sciistica fantastica a degli impianti super ...con uno skiipass a 25.50 x noi italiani ...io lo consiglio a grandi e piccoli ...poi un park gigante...

Uno dei punti panoramici della Route, tappa obbligata per chi la vuole percorrere in tutta la sua lunghezza. In moto dà tante soddisfazioni, la strada è molto bella e ben percorribile.

Dominant la vallée de l'Ubaye et celle de Vars, ce col est le départ de nombreuses randonnées au fil des alpages et jusque sur les crêtes. Les amateurs d'orchidées et de gentianes seront comblés! Pour les motards, c'est le lieu où passer, comme en témoigne l'affluence au relais motard un peu plus bas, au lac Napoléon. Vues sur les deux vallées, les pistes de Vars les Claux que l'on peut rejoindre facilement à pied.

Bel colle in un panorama splendido. Il colle e' all'interno della Route des Grandes Alpes che può essere abbinato ad escursioni in auto o in moto verso il Col de la Bonette o il Col de la Cayolle o il Col de l'Isoard o per finire al Col de l'Agnel.

donne accès au parc du mercantour, la nature à l'état pu et des départs vers de très belles randonnées. impressionnant le nombre de cyclistes malgré la pente très rude...
