This is an old castle in the center of town, which I though added to the charm of the castle. There is a nice tour that takes you through a number of furnished rooms. Many had antique furniture and there was some armor here too. The attic area had a large display of household items and clothing displays. You can walk the parapet along the entire front side and around two towers.The grounds were OK, not much garden going on here. There were the remnants of a wall from the 10th century still here that you could inspect. I would make a return visit to this castle. Parking is horrible as there are not many places near the castle. There are plenty of shops in the area and options to eat. Would I visit again? Yes.

One of the many small castle worth seeing in the Loire Valley, at least from the outside as it sits in the middle of Langeais town.A beautiful center piece illuminated at night and a nice walk after fine dining at Au Coin des Halles

When we arrived the chateau was just opening so we were able to view the drawbridge coming down. This is where you enter to purchase tickets. If you purchase the full admission price, you will receive discounts at Villandry, Chinon and Azay-le-Rideau to name a few. There was nothing much to view on the inside but the outside provided a nice view of the city. There was also a wall that remained where you can climb to the top. If you have children, there is a tree house located on the property as well. When we left we spent some time walking through the town.

It's very easy to get to Langeais by train from Tours. 15 minutes by train from Tours-center station and 5 minutes from SNCF station Langeais to castle by foot.Nice exposition of wardrobe. Every room is with written descriptions (Russian included).Don't miss park which is not so big but very nice.Free entrance for girls with name "Anna".

Moving at my own pace, had an interesting history lesson done visually, with signage, artifacts, and reproductions. The castle itself in doable in a couple of hours. Very nice experience. Langeaise is a lovely village with a nearby hotel restaurant for lunch following the tour.

Very interesting history of France. The chateaux and its garden walk with a tale of its history was very well done. Enjoyable visit.

This is an excellent example of a chateau as it would have been in medieval times. It is well preserved and gives incredible insight into life at that time.

Our last visit to this Chateau was nearly 30 years ago, so it was almost a new experience for us. The displays and explanations were excellent easy to follow and very informative.There were a lot of steps, you climb right up to the top towers and down again often on spiral staircases. did my exercise that day!The gardens etc outside were also well maintained and interesting with superb views of the surroundings.An enjoyable afternoon.

If you like tapestry you'll be well away! If you like to see these places furnished-hard luck here! Gardens. What gardens? 2 overgrown flower beds and some worn grass with 2 kids play areas and a tree house. All for 9E each. Robbery.

Not always easy to tell your story - but in Langeais' castle they suceed in making the past come to live. Well done. Worth the visit.
