This castle is definitely worth the trip from paris. It's a gem: filled with beautiful antique furniture and paintings, in a beautiful setting, you will remember it forever and is the most romantic castle I know. You can easily imagine what was the life in a French castle and It's worth the experience when you want to experiment French History.

Hello StanR, thank you very much for your contribution. You are totally right we have still a long way to go.. It is the challenge of this kind of private Chateau in France. Have you ever been to Vaux le Vicomte castle ? I think it is the best real private and luxurious Chateau in France.Next time I recommend you to use our free Mp3 family audio guide to embellish your visit.If you come with little children do not miss our treasure hunt, 3 pistes are availlable : the green one for children from 3 to 5, the blue trail for boys and girls from 6 to 11, and the red one for young people from 12 to 77. If you do a self conducted visit with our mp3, the tour is about 45 mn, but if you do also a treasure hunt in the Parc it will take you 45 mn more ;-).

The Chateau of Conde, nestled in the hills of Jean de la Fontaines champagne region is a true find. An intimate and a gorgeous domain made our trip fun and easy to comprehend ( especially for children and young teens). The historical overview of the regions monarchy and the stories linked to Chateau de Conde, given by its' owner, is more authentic than many other chateaux's of the Loire or than that of the Dordogne regions.Simple, fun, and understated, the guide through the rooms is quick, and easy for foreigners tograsp. Loved the impressive Oudry paintings, typical of the hunting grounds in the nearby lands!Best time to visit is from April until beginning October, when one can picnic on the grounds!

It is true, we have to do more translations for our foreigners visitors.But please, do not compare us with the château de la Loire and there millions of visitors. Did you visited our interiors? Hello,Please do not be afraid by our magical mirror in the room 23. It is just a mirror placed by the artist JB Oudry to protect and save an old painting by Watteau which represents a libertine tale by the famous author Jean de La Fontaine.The mechanism is modern because the fresco was discovered recently in 1992.Best regards,Aymeri

Joli petit château des Princes de Condé, Richelieu y a séjourné. Il est bien décoré de jolies tentures, des boiseries peintes, les couleurs sont douces, une belle découverte

Un magnifique château avec des oeuvres splendides.Mr Paste de Rochefort nous guide avec passion et amour pour ces lieux se qui rend la visite captivante.Un lieux plein d'histoire que je recommande à tous.

Un château à taille humaine et un châtelain qui vous reçoit en personne. Avec un audio guide et de jolis bijoux historiques. La chasse au trésors est une excellente idée !

Rares sont les visites où le châtelain vous reçoit et prend le temps de vous raconter l'histoire de cette passion qu'est la rénovation d'un monument historique !Nous avons fait un plongeon dans l'histoire grâce à une documentation très complète durant la visite. L'intérieur est très riche en mobilier et reconstitue bien l'ambiance de l'époque. La chasse au trésor dans le parc du château est réel plus. Elle est attrayante et intelligente; nous nous sommes régalés... et avons même gagné la bouteille de champagne. Vraiment, c'est un bon moment à passer en famille ou entre amis, à 1h30 de Paris à peine.L'occasion de se dépayser complètement et de voyager dans le temps, pour un tarif très honnête.Marie D
