Abbey Vauclair is in a very peaceful and beautiful location. You can go by car (plenty parking space), walking or bicycle (bicycle track).There's lakes near by and it's also a great place to have a picnic with the family.The Abbey it self it's ruins, but you an still imagine how grandiose it was on its time.

Tucked away in the shadow of the Chemin des Dames ridge, the abbey is worth a short detour from the main road. It gains context if you visit the Caverne du Dragon Great War site. The abbey's builders created the caves when mining the limestone for their construction work.

A lovely old Abbey, now in ruins,with the monks' herb garden carefully tended and preserved at the rear and with an amazing fruit Arboretum beside the main ruins, all set in a forest location.

Il est vrai que quand nous sommes y allés il pluvinait, le cadre est certes joli mais les ruines portent bien leur nom et il n'y a donc pas grand chose à voir. Ca vaut le coup de s'arrêter si c'est sur notre passage mais ça ne vaut pas le détour.

Cette abbaye en ruine a encore de très beaux restes, un témoignage de plus sur le chemin des dames sur la tragédie de la 1ère guerre mondiale

Une page d'histoire, superbes vestiges et cadre plein de charme. A deux pas du chemin des dames et du chemin de l'ailette bien connu pour ses randonnées pédestres ou à bicyclette
