I would have thought this would be better, but I was a little disappointed with this experience as it just seemed like it was crowded with the same type of thing. Charroux is a lovely town, but this is a not a place to spend too much time.

We visited the museum with our kids and everyone enjoyed it. Explanations were good, friendly monsieur. Worth a visit!

Charroux is a beautiful little village, but I only really got the full sense of how important it was historically from taking in its museum. The museum is quite large for such a small place, and very well organised and well-appointed. The exhibits are interesting and numerous and the audio tour provides sufficient information (in French or English) without being an overload. You do need to be able to speak French to get the full sense of the written items, but that's hardly a surprise. The lady in charge of the Tourism Bureau is also very, very friendly - I would recommend this museum to anyone wanting to know more about this beautiful village, or the region's history more generally.

Niet meteen een trendsetter maar om overtollige tijd te verdrijven wel te pruimen. De toegangsprijs is zeker geen 'showstopper'.

Довольно занимательная коллекция часов на улице часовщиков. Но моя рекомендация - не проводить здесь много времени, т.к. примечателен не столько этот музей, сколько сам городок Шарру, сохранивший неповторимый средневековый стиль и особую атмосферу. Здесь нужно бродить по городу, достопримечательности которого расположены концентрически. Вообще весь городок усеян старинным строениями, и почти в каждом из них имеется лавка, или мини-музей, посвященные варенью, мылу, куклам, крыжевам, маслам и т.д. Правда и цены в них соответствующие...

Rétrospective intéressante sur l'histoire de la ville, un peu datée mais c'est aussi ce qui fait son charme.

Un moment très sympa par la visite de ce musée ; découvertes d horloges et de nombreux mécanismes mais surtout de très belles choses A faire absolument dans ce village de charroux !

Au-delà des collections très intéressantes qu'accueille l'endroit, le musée de Charroux est aussi le point de départ d'une visite du village avec audio-guide pour en découvrir tous les trésors cachés. Encore un village qui porte bien son label "Plus beaux village de France".

Museum met antieke klokken in allerlei soorten en maten. Bijzondere collectie in een bijzondere setting. Zeker even bekijken als je in Charroux bent.

L'histoire de Charroux très détaillée. Beaucoup de belles culptures anciennes, et de mobiliers témoins de l'histoire de la ville et de ses métiers. Signalisation des salles et audioguide impeccables.
