The brewery is located in an unassuming neighbourhood near the Gare de Midi, a little tucked away but not too difficult to find with the aid of Google maps.We were welcomed on arrival by the very friendly staff and given a short introduction before following a self guided tour - there are numbered signs throughout the buildings and we were given a booklet with lots of information to explaim the workings of the brewery.Overall it took us about 20 minutes to follow the tour and we stayed about and hour afterwards in the cosy bar, enjoying our samples of lambic beer and watching the brewery staff going about their day.We really enjoyed our visit, we are big fans of Belgian beer so this was really interesting for us and we'll.worth the €7 entry fee.If you have small children with you this is probably not an ideal place to visit - there is working machinery all around you during the tour. There are also several sets of quite narrow steps to climb or descend and some potentially wet / slippery surfaces. None of that is a criticism, it's to be expected of a working brewery, just something to consider perhaps if you or anyone in your group are of reduced mobility.

Beer in Belgium is not like the typical beer Americans drink. Cantillion creates sours which are lambics and guezes. To most Americans this beer is weird, but when you realize the craftsmanship it takes to create these masterpieces, you will love it. These bottles are cheap about 6-8 euros in the brewery, and you drink them there. Take some home in your luggage, they're worth about $100 each in the US. Most everyone working there is involved with the family who owns the brewery so it is a family run and family crafted recipes, each of the names of the beers are chosen specifically and one of the family members does most of the paintings on the labels. It is in an odd place of town but it sure is fantastic! Be sure to get there early because it will be busy !

Craft beer & " lambic beer" made in brussels, authentic place for a very interesting visit. Nice and kind People to talk to about beer and cheap price for a tour (visit + 2 beers to discover at the end of the visit).

This incredible place is only a 5 minutes walk from Gare de Midi/ Zuid Station. The area is not that great but once you get inside you forget all about it. For 7 euros you get to see the brewery via a self guided tour and also get to taste the beer they make there. Geuze is divine, in my humble oppinion. So this place is really a must see. I definitely reccomend this place.

If you have any interest at all in beer (from making it to drinking it) this place is well worth a visit. The tour is self guided but you get a leaflet in your language and you are free to wander round and look at everything. It is very interesting to see how the lambic beer is made and you even get to taste the beers at the end of the tour (the first time I tried it, I hated it but it does grow on you).

I loved the self-guided tour of this brewery! While the outside of the building was really unassuming and the inside looked pretty old and grungy, you have to take this brewery for what it is. You have to go in with an open mind, especially if you've never tried a lambic before! I thought it was really cool to learn about the unique brewing process and try the beers afterwards. My fiance and I also bought several beers to bring home, which I was extremely happy about when we found out how expensive they were back in Canada. Don't make the mistake of missing this little gem when you're in Brussels!

What a delightful small brewery! It is any about a five minute walk from Gare du Midi and a cheap self guided tour is worth the €7. If you like learning about the history if the lambic style of brewing, this is a can't miss! If you don't like sours, skip the gueze tasting and perhaps try the kriek instead. Whenever I'm in Brussels, I make it a point to take a walk from the train station and stop in to buy a few bottles to bring back home. The neighborhood looks a little sketchy, but as long as you are smart and go during daylight, you'll be fine.

This is one of oldest brewery in Brussels, Belgium. The tour of brewery wing is very good. Explanation of the tour guide in the brewery is good. They serve two types beer for tasting. I did not like the taste.

After more commercial brewery experiences, this proved to be well worth the short walk from the center of town. Get Stephan from Brussels City Tours to take you.

The Cantillon beers have been a long time favorite of mine and several friends. They have always been hard to get in the USA so it has been rare we have gotten to enjoy them. When we learned that the brewery was only a 10-15 minute walk from the Grand Place we had to go and visit. It is very unassuming and if you don't look hard you may not recognize the building as being a brewery because it looks like any other building on the street. Nothing fancy. No big signs letting you know it is there. When we first poked our heads in the door we thought we were entering through the warehouse. However, it was the door to go in.Once inside we were greeted and asked if we would like a tour. It was only 7 Euros and included a tasting of 2 beers at the end. We wanted the tour and recommend you also take it. They provide you a very informative book telling the story of the process and then let you take a self guided tour seeing the whole thing from start to finish. As a fan of brewing it was a thrill to get to visit one of the greats. The tastings were really 2 full glasses plus they also have bottles to buy and drink there and, of course, to buy and take home. We did that too.If you enjoy beer, especially Lambic styles, and will be in Brussels then you have to visit Cantillon. Even if it is just to buy some to bring home. The prices are ridiculously cheap, but don't tell them so they don't raise them :)This is a must for any beer geek out there or anyone interested in learning about this particle brewing process.
