Alpine air was amazing, the intersport ski instructors were excellent and give you the most dedicated novice lessons on in the Alps, especially Nina for Skiing and Marco for snowboarding. The town of Kranska Gora celebrates Christmas in true Fairy tale style and offers the traveller a magical journey through Slovenian culture.

We drove up through the national park at twilight.Gorgeous views and we found the first snow of the season, right up at the top of one of the mountains.Felt a bit like I was driving on Top Gear- lots of switchbacks on the road. Well worth it.

This area has fantastic views. I would like to come back again but link our route together in a different way. The mountain huts are all welcoming and have good food.

Beautiful scenery. Would love to go in winter. The people are friendly and helpful and it is very easy to get out and about on public transport.

Charismatic guide who took us on a route we wouldn't otherwise have found. Lovely countryside wherever you go.

we did not like the rain but hiked despite it and drove the 50 hairpin road to #30 and the views were astounding. We have visited almost every national park in the U.S. and usually find nothing to rival them but this was great.

We rode around the national park for a couple of days on Motorbikes from the Hotel Lek in Kranjska Gora. Be careful on the Mountail pass right outside of the Hotel as some of the Hairpins are cobbled.Lake Bled is worth a visit on your travels however it can get very busy in Summer weeks. The roads are not as well surfaced as Austria but much better that Italy.Lastly make sure you stop at one of the village restaurants to see what a rural bar/restaurant looks like, the one we stopped in had pictures of the locals dating back to the 1930's as well as lots of pictures of communist times with soldiers in uniform.

This national park is very well preserved and it offers a variety of adventure opportunities as well as various leisure activities. It feels like heaven due to its natural scenery with lakes and mountains. Hence, it is definitely worth exploring when you are on holiday in Slovenia since it provides a memorable experience.
