The entry fee is now 3 euros per adult, but for 60-90 mins of exploration, photo-taking and time travel, it's more than worth it!

Really amazing. Really worth a visit. Presented in an amazing way in the middle of the forest. It's a must.

I have visited the museum several times in different seasons and it was nice in winter as well in summer ( advantage more houses are open to have a look inside and more workshops are running). Lovely walk into the history of Slovakia and the old style of living. Parking just in front of the areal entrance fee of 5Euro.

Is was like a good return to the history, I recommend it. You can see here a lot of cozy wood houses, typical for Orava region. Entrance fee is just 2,50 eur.

Very interesting place, so many cottages with such a long and special history. Good place to go. Take a lot of money with you, you can buy very nice and interesting presents there :-)

This is a village where all the buildings are made of wood and which are made up inside to look like they would have in Slovakia in olden times. It was very educational and had a lot of beautiful sites. Check out the church which is made of wood both inside and outside while you are there-it is beautiful. Some of the staff dress in old style clothes too which is a nice touch to the old style atmosphere. The countryside surrounding the village is stunning. There is also a wooden bridge and a small river flows through it. The price is also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend it. The wooden restaurant at the entrance to the village is also very nice and extremely cheap-we got meals and drinks here for 4 people for approximately 25euros. Try the Halušky (a traditional Slovak dish)-Very tasty!!

You can wander through an artificial village composed of wooden houses of various styles, formerly characteristic of the Orava region. These have been painstakingly transported to their new location and restored in a preserved state. Each house has its indoors set up to represent a different layer of the society that has been. There is even a wooden church from early 15th century. And several stores with native artifacts.

Preserved local homes are located in forrest close to Zuberec village. Different architecture and aim of historical homes looks very nice.

nice museum, worth to visit when you are in Orava region. many wooden cottages from the past. But i have just one thing. It would be better when they provide a guide in english or other language because we were there with foreigner friend of us and they give us only prospect in slovak language. But the area is very nice.

Visited on a freezing day in March, very picturesque with the snow. We had a Slovakian guide who translated the museum curator's information which he told us with great animation. The highlight was when he played the organ in the church and sang...... Beautiful.Even though we were all cold it was a very fascinating experience. I think we felt thatSlovaks from previous centuries must have been very hardy to survive in such cold temperatures.
