Close to Kežmarok, High Tatra mountains lines behind you. There are only the fields and trees all around you. It is so cold outside, strong wind blows, you want to stay in the car. You can hardly believe, there is the thermal spa in front of you.. . Eventually you enter the small spa building, the attentive staff will explain to you the rules, you pay the fee and get the chip, the world of springs opens up for you. . Two and a half hours for Eur 7.50 is the optimal price I guess. The Indoor swimming pool leads to the canal to the outdoor pool which contains 36´C thermal water. Pure pleasure. You are almost dissolving in the sulfury and steaming water.. It's raining cats and dogs, but you simply shiver with pleasure. You can even walk out of the water after a while and proceed to the third, the warmest pool. Hours go by and you are getting nicely tired, happy and relaxed . One of reviewers have mentioned the fact, there it is not about luxury and culinary art there. I am happy it is so. It is about the steamy heaven without the screaming crowd, clean and well maintained, surrounded by fields in the middle of nowhere.

Thermal Park Vrbov is just beside the main road from Levoca, parking is possible near Hotel/Restaurant "Flipper" The main building is nice and modern. I had a 2,5 hrs ticket for EUR 6.38 with the 15% discount I received from Hotel Menhard. Tried out 3 pools, the best one was the warmest :) It is good for a winter chill, I have enjoyed it.

Thermal park is the nice place with the poor service, but the thermal water is comfortable and everyone can find self which relax ( swimming) pool is perfect for self. I saw today one big threat !!! Its meal. In a thermal park serve just coffee and baguette. In area is just one ,, restaurant,, koliba,,. I tried some kitchen specialites with soup. Everything was harmfull. Waitress was little puzzled, while i asked about food. She sad, that all is homemade prepared. I think she lied me. I ordered the homemade slovak classic food and the result is on the photo. ( pork sausage, sausage, boiled potatos???, sauerkraft, pork neck). Anyway the sausage was very nice, but the rest? And prize ? I can just smiling, nice location, too high prize for low quality, very low.

The thermal park has open air pools with various temperature of water. It is very pleasant. Even when the weather is chilly. Clean area. Not expesive entrance fee. We liked the visit. It might be good relax after a hike in the Tatras or mountais around.

I can really recommend this place hidden just a few kilometres from Poprad. They offer two reconstructed pools, one with hot sulfur water and another one with currents and massaging bubbles. There are also other rather time-worn pools. Yet the showers and cloakrooms are new and perfectly clean at all time. You can also find there several stalls and a restaurant. The only disadvantage is that children under 6 aren't allowed in the hot water pool. Anyway, if you are an active hiker this is the best place to relax your exhausted feet :)

In case you go for holiday to High Tatras and weather is not that good, or you want to unwind after hike or skiing, you can visit one of several thermal parks with pools nearby (Poprad, Besenova, Liptovsky Mikulas, Liptovsky Jan). We prefer to go to Vrbov, a small village with nothing but a gipsy suburb and thermal park. The park has one swimming pool and several "sitting" pools with massage jets. Almost all outdoor. Water is excellent, helps a lot in case of painful joints and muscles. And the best time is winter evening, with big snowflakes falling down on your head. Take a bottle of water with you so that you have something to drink, during the low season refreshment facilities are very limited.

Na Słowację jeżdżę od kilku lat, ale do tej pory korzystałam z Aquaparku w Popradzie i basenów termalnych na Węgrzech. Dojazd i wejście na baseny nie są zbyt łatwe, zwłaszcza jak jedzie się tam nocą, ale troszkę wysiłku i jest się na miejscu. Cena jest bardzo rozsądna, bo za 2,5 godziny osoba dorosła płaci 7,5 euro. Łazienki z prysznicem nie są najgorsze, ale mają zniszczone krany i mogliby już to wymienić. Suszarek jest zdecydowanie za mało. Dwie na taki obiekt to przegięcie. Jeżeli chodzi o temperaturę wody w basenach to jak do tej pory, /według mojej opinii/ jest to najcieplejsza woda w jakich byłam. Woda zawiera dużo różnych minerałów, więc po wyjściu jest aksamitne gładka. Atrakcji dla dzieci nie ma żadnych są to baseny dla dorosłych. Ja widziałam tylko jeden brodzik dla maluszków typu "biedronka". Można na miejscu skorzystać z masaży /dodatkowa opłata/ i z restauracji. Cena jest bardzo adekwatna do oferowanych usług i na pewno wrócę tam jeszcze raz.

Отличная альтернатива Попрадскому Аквасити для путешествующих без детей. Очень демократичные цены. Мы посетили 2 раза (конец мая – начало июня), при этом 2.5 часа было вполне достаточно. В закрытой зоне 2 бассейна: детский, совсем мелкий, для ооочень маленьких детей, и небольшой «массажный» бассейн с выходом на улицу. Часть инфраструктуры на открытом воздухе не функционировала, предполагаю, там есть что-то для детей, но мы не имели возможности проверить. Работали 4 бассейна, в 3 из них детям до 6 лет вход запрещен. В бассейне с самой горячей минеральной водой время пребывания ограничено. Действительно, там тяжело находится долгое время, к тому же вода имеет резкий запах, который многих сильно раздражает. Не знаю, как в теплую погоду, но когда на улице 8-10 градусов, расслабиться в горячей воде – то, что надо. На территории, в раздевалке, душевых и туалетах чисто. Современные шкафчики, закрываются с помощью браслетов с чипами. Парковка небольшая, бесплатная. Вокруг термального парка какая-то стройка, но из бассейнов этого не видно, поэтому не мешает.

Do Thermal Park Vrbov jeżdżę od kilku lat, na ogół raz, dwa razy w roku, W porównaniu do innych basenów termalnych na Słowacji, cena wstępu jest bardzo rozsądna (aktualnie wstęp całodzienny to 11 E i tak jak napisałam - jest adekwatna do jakości. Ne należy się tu spodziewać wodotrysków, laserów i cudów na kiju... Jest kilka basenów z ciepłą wodą (poza sezonem nie wszystkie są czynne). W weekendy jest mnóstwo Polaków. W weekend majowy 2014 przeraźliwie ciasno, trudno znaleźć miejsce w basenie, a jak ktoś dorwie ciekawszą miejscówkę (masaże wodne) to siedzi, to granicy zasłabnięcia ;-) W majówkę trzeba było wykazać się sprytem, żeby znaleźć wolną szafkę w szatni. Ogólnie wszystko jest trochę zaniedbane, mimo że nie dawno było gruntownie remontowane i przebudowane. Jak się coś uszkodziło rok temu, to nadal jest uszkodzone (np. zawisy w drzwiach do przebieralni), brak jest takiego zwykłego, codziennego przeglądu i napraw bieżących, Ogólnie, jak ktoś się nastawia na posiedzenie w ciepłej wodzie, za niską cenę - to polecam, Jeżeli szuka się atrakcji np. dla dzieci - to raczej nie.

Vrbov to mieścina na Słowacji leżąca pomiędzy Kiezmarkiem a Janovicami tuz pod tatrami Wysokimi. I tam od wielu, wielu lat znajduje się " Thermalne Kupalisko " czyli baseny termalne. Jednak jest coś innego w nich co rożni większość takich miejsc. To są baseny lecznicze bo woda w nich jest mineralna.Woda w basenach jest na prawdę gorrąca:) chociaż moglibytroszkę zadbać o wygląd basenów(część z nich została wyremontowana). Świetne miejsce na odpoczynek i relaks, poza tym zapierające dech w piersiach widoki na Tatry... Można spokojnie jechać bez rezerwacji, bo właściwie w każdym domu są pokoje do wynajęcia.
