One of my favourtie theatres. They play a huge variety of classical as well as contemporary plays. The building is also charming so the experience is always outstanding .

The State Theater of Kosice is located in the same place (as everything culturally important in the city) on the Hlavna ulica.The building is very impressive outside even that its neighbor is Cathedral of St. Elizabeth. The Theater absolutely doesn't inferior to the Cathedral because it is quite tall and well-dressed even in contrast to many capital theaters around the world.The only thing that might be tricky is its shows. We (a couple) happened to go to the "Swan Lake" ballet. The performance of the cast was less interesting than the music played by the theater's orchestra. Maybe, it depends on the cast. Maybe, it happened because we were sitting at the very top balcony with almost vertical view to the stage. It was even scary to step in the stairs located there because of steep slope that almost made our heads to lose sense. Still, don't miss an opportunity to walk by this theater if you are in Kosice.

like concerts and dislike uncomfortable seats. Building is beautifull, you can also arrange small events on upper floor after performance. Opera and ballet are of good quality.

This place is amazing it is like stepping into the past and escaping from the real world for a few hour's. I would recommend having one of the boxes as this is where you get a great feel for the place. The shows are top class and I would recommend it to everyone.

Здание государственного театра – это, безусловно, украшение словацкой столицы! Хотя он не такой большой, как в других европейских столицах, по количеству украшений и милых взгляду деталей даст фору большинству из них! Чрезвычайно красивое здание!

Найдете в центре площади в форме лимона красиво здание под названием "дивадло" - это местный театр. В театре обратите внимание на потолки и орнаменты на них. Рисунки на стенах - не фантазии на тему, а иллюстрации произведений Шекспира.Ну и не стесняйтесь - сходите на оперу. Немного сноровки и фантазии и грань между русским и словацким языками исчезает!Приятного посещения!

Театр расположен в центре Главной улицы. Красиво внутри, интересный и разнообразный по жанрам репертуар, недорогие билеты.

Расположен в самом центре пешеходной и исторической зоны. В театр сходить не удалось, так как были проездом. Рядом много фонтанов, скамейки. Хорошая зона для отдыха.
