We have stayed in Kasperske Mountain for a summer week holiday. Fantastic place to explore. We took a lovely long walk from a nearby car park through out the forest and reach the top with this nice castle. Great building and lots of history so we took a tour but what a massive disappointment of our tour guide!!! My family understand Czech so we didn't need a translation into English. Unfortunately, this young man who was in charge made us leave earlier this tour as we couldn't listen to him anymore, he was very arrogant and rude to all our group straight from the beginning. What a shame not a nice memory:((((

The whole trip to Kasperk castle is really nice, if you travel by foot from the city, as we did. First, the city is really beautiful, full of old painted houses, the main square is simply adorable. Then you go through wonderful nature and although the path is bit challenging (castle is suited on pretty big hill), we did enjoy it. The castle ruin itself is small, but staff there put really big effort in making maximum out of it. Although there is basicaly nothing in the castle, they show you a video of how some of the rooms were build or models of the castle in its glorious times. And as opposite the other castle tours, they told us some very interesting facts, "fun facts".

Nice walk from a nearby parking lot (40CZK per day). Open until 5pm so I did not get in. 2 ways how to get there, one on a road and one through the woods.

Visited some time ago with my partner and we took a walk to the castle, did the tour and enjoyed some of the refreshments offered at the small scale cafe thing. The castle tour was fairly standard, made memorable by the structure & history of the castle itself, particularly the astounding views at the top and the walk through the middle of where the castle stood - one could see where the different floors would have come to which was a great way to imagine how things were before. The toilets weren't fantastic but the rest more than made up for it. The refreshments were also pleasant and staff friendly.

Kasperk is one of the most interesting castles in CZ. The new guided to circles / I´ve seen one of two/ are full not just infos but also a big fun. Don´t forget to taste some of the old food specialities.

They are offering new tours called Life on castle and Building the castle. I visited the Building the castle tour, it was very good, they use modern visual technology to show you how the rooms looked like several centuries ago. Don't miss it!

My wife and I hiked to this castle from the town of Kasperske Hory and it is worth stopping at if it's on your way. If it's not, there are probably more interesting castles out there, particularly if they're attached to a town.This is one is remote but still seemingly quite popular with the locals and other tourist groups. Lots of families with small children were there as well.The cost is $60 Kc / adult and you must wait for a guide. As we only understood English, we were given an English printout that explained the different areas of the castle in poor grammar. The tour guide spoke in Czech and we simply followed at the back.The tour is about an hour and the best part of it is probably the view from the tower. We were able to get a shot of the other castle ruins with our zoom lens. See the photo I've included.Outside by the entrance our some wooden stilts with three different foot heights that you can try walking on.

Замок находится недалеко от городка Кашперски Горы. Дорога к замку очень тяжелая. Всего 3км, из них последние 2км постоянно в гору под углом градусов в 25-30. Несмотря на это посетить стоит. И не столько из-за посещения самого Замка (он для Чехии довольно обычный). Рядом с Кашперком находятся руины замка Пусты Градек, с которого открывается чудесный вид на гору и замок Кашперк.(Попробую прикрепить фото).

13.01.2014автопутешествие по европе 27.12.2013-19.01.20144 взрсл, 5 детей 13 января нам необходимо было посетить красивейший замок Кашперк и спокойно пошопиться в каких-нибудь окрестных магазинах, ну и покушать где-нибудь нормально, так как наша любимая пивоварня в Звикове забила на нас. В субботу они работают до 21:00, потому что – «….ну вы же понимаете, суббота же…», в воскресенье – «….так воскресенье же, мы работаем до 18:00…» - в понедельник – «….а мы вообще не работаем, потому что после воскресенья же….»….во вторник у нас даже хлеб был вчерашний на завтраке, спасибо что вообще что-то поели утром….попили пива в пивоварне….((( В общем, поехали в Кашперк. Он закрыт зимой, но я согласовал тургид для нас заранее. Как всегда – пешкарус от парковки 1.5 км, слава богу дети уже привыкли…стучимся в дверь – никого, звоним в звонок – то же самое…только после того, как позвонили по телефону – к нам сбежал по ступенькам парень, представившийся представителем местной общины (замок принадлежит какому-то городку рядом) и на англ языке провел интереснейшую экскурсию по замку, подвалам, башне (вид был около 90 км – Германия \ Австрия как на ладони…). Красивое место. Очень интересной конфигурации замок – вытянутый, по скале, узкий, но длинный двор…все были мило поражены…восстанавливается, укрепляется внешними ранее разрушенными стенами. Здорово когда людям это нужно, когда так поддерживается своя история. Жалко, что у нас никому ничего кроме крантика и трубы не надо… Пошопились в каком-то ТЦ по дороге вечером, пиво опять пили не в своей пивоварне…странные люди…наутро планировался отъезд в другое место ночевки и очередные замки…

en dat is spijtig.Je krijgt wel een (slechte) vertaling op papier maar je voelt dat daar niet alles in staat wat de (verplichte) gids vertelt.De vrij toegankelijke binnenkoer is toch al de moeite om te bezoeken: een hapje en een drankje is er te koop en er is altijd wel iets te beleven.Het uitzicht vanaf de toren maakt veel goed.
