The castle is completely ruined. There are two towers and we can climb on one of them. From top there is only good view of the surroundings and a quarry which is near by. There is not much to see like you expect to see in a castle.

This castle built on top of the two steep ingenous rocks is really unique to see. However to visit the castle itself hasn't much to offer. You can enjoy some interesting views to local countryside from one of the towers (the other one is inaccessible) but nothing else. The best views are from the ground further from the castle so take a walk around and take some pictures with sorrounding landscape. You won't miss anything.

Trosky castle is the symbol of the Cesky Raj region. It is built on two connected steep rocky outcrops, with towers atop each. The central part is in ruins but the towers are still in good condition and provide dramatic views of each other and the surrounding countryside. The castle is accessible from Turnov via the little train that runs along the valley towards Rovensko. From the Borecke Skaly stop the two castle towers are easily visible and it is about a 1hr walk on a marked trail.

Some centuries ago it was quite beautiful castle with 2 main towers on top of close hills. Now you can feel its original outlook only on pictures. And go on top of hills to see Cesky raj surroundings from birds view. During nice weather you could even see Jested hill in Liberec and Krakonos mountains. Must be perfect end of september when all trees turn red and yellow. This is not so difficult to climb there from parking place despite mentioned in some of the reviews. There are some more demanding places in Czech republic :)Do not miss to stop on your way to the castle to make some great pictures of it from a distance

We visited during october 2011.We arrived the castle after long hike from turnov via Hrad Valdštejn and Hrubá Skála so Hrad Trosky was our last attraction and it is worth visiting. after exhausting ascent (20-30 minutes if remember correctly) you can enter the castle and catch fantastic view of the surrounding area (there's a strong chance for a strong wind ).

Natural, unique, and best known symbol of the Bohemian Paradise. Medieval fortification and beautiful views of the surroundings.

If you arrive to the region of Czech Paradise, this is an attraction not to miss. The view from the top of the Baba Tower is simply breathtaking. Physically it is a bit demanding - first the climb up the hill, nevertheless the road is well kept. Then many steps up the tower and very uneven surface in the castle itself - be careful and take good shoes. As I saw quite a lot of people with children in pushchairs swearing I write this as a warning - this is not an attraction for disabled people or very small children as you donť get anywhere with pushchairs. Otherwise if you are not afraid of heights it is really beautiful, a real piece of history.

Ruins of Trosky castle can be seen perhaps from every place in the area tens of kilometers. When you reach the place (not far from the parking lot), you will feel the ancient atmosphere and magic of this place. When you climb one of the towers of the castle, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surroundings.

Malebný výhled do krajiny pomůže načerpat energii.
