This castle is well hidden between the forests of the Kokorin valley. It's a short walk from the apartments of Korinsky Dul, it self a friendly place and not overrun by foreign tourists. the valley is about one hour walking from Mseno train station.

The castle is old and nice, it is worth to climb the tower and see the view . The visit to the castle is paid but it was cheap ;)

Visiting Kokorinsko and Cesky raj natural reservations, you must not miss this castle. Located in the middle of Kokorinsko forests, it is one of many castles in the region. It is a well preserved castle with a lovely courtyard and tower. You can either climb up the tower for a little fee or get a guided tour of entire castle. We enjoyed amazing views of landscape from the tower. A parking place is about 20 minutes walk from the castle. If you feel hungry, you can check out a restaurant close to the parking place.

Deep forest is around the castle, therefore the view from high tower is only to treetop. But the medieval castle is nice, the tour takes about 30 minutes. Parking is aprox 1 km from castle but cca 150 m vertical below. I propose to use a parking close to hotel on main road to Mělník - free of charge, next parking is with fee 50 CZK (2 €).

Kokorin is a very nice little castle situated in the protected area of the same name. The castle is one of the very few well preserved guardian castles in this part of Europe.There is a trail leading to the castle around sandstone rocks that are typical for this area.The area is easily reachable from Prague by public transport, therefore it might be a good opportunity for a half day trip from the city. One can also visit nearby Melnik.

Замок Kokořín - настоящая неприступная крепость, расположенная на холме в национальном парке Кокоржинско на север от Праги. Замок маленький, по сравнению с Карлштейном и Конопиште, но симпатичный. Построен в 1324 году, долгое время был заброшен. Лучше всего добираться до замка пешком, по туристическим трассам через изумительные леса и скальные лабиринты - от городка Мшено (Mšeno), или Lhotka u Mělníka. Замок открыт для посетителей только с апреля по октябрь, до пяти вечера.

O castelo é muito bonito por fora e faz a gente viajar no tempo imaginando como era a vida medieval, como os alimentos chegavam aqui e como o castelo sobreviveu a várias guerras e ocupações. É um ótimo lugar para tirar fotos, mas escolha um dia que não seja chuvoso, pois o lugar é aberto e o acesso um pouco difícil.

Voici un vrai château de Bohême, qui s'élève sur un promontoire dans une nature pittoresque pleine de rochers de grès, de petits lacs et de villages oubliés. L’accès au château se mérite, soit par une longue route en lacets, soit par un raccourci abrupt pour piétons. De splendides panoramas sur la région naturelle protégée de Kokořín s’offrent des créneaux et de la massive tour ronde.

Hrad Kokorin är ett gammalt slott med en mycket vacker natur runt om, när man går upp i tornet börjar man undra om det är här alla sagor om prinsessor och drakar skrivits! Mycket vackert och väl värt ett besök! Att promenera i den omgivande terrängen är också väldigt trevligt och området är flitigt använt av tjeckerna som friluftsområde.

Очень маленький, но какой-то сказочный замок. Находится в Заповеднике "Кокоржинско". Сама прогулка по заповедному лесу - уже праздник. К сожалению, увидеть его так ярко, как это выглядит на приведенной фотографии, не возможно. Все таки- Лес. Рекомендую совместить с посещением города Мельник (Замок Мельник).
