The collection here is not huge, but they have a very nice selection of artists. Photography is allowed as long as you don't use flash or tripod.

An absolute must in my opinion. I am not a modern or even classic art fan, but but this museum is simply superb. A credit to this beautiful town.

I particularly liked the black and white photography exhibition and also the Czech cubism paintings on the top floor. The admission price was very reasonable.

I spent nice time in this museum visiting exhibitions, especially of the contemporary photography. There is also art that requires attention, as Hugo Demartini's "Relief", Milan Kunc' "Amor a Psyche", Francisek Ronovsky "Rodina", Antoni Prochazka's "Muz a zena". You may also take the stairs to museum's tower and see the surroundings of the museum.

A great collection of Czech artists, who I have not had much chance to enjoy elsewhere. Get the combo ticket so you can see both museums.

Like the city as a whole the museum had three exhibitions that were of works which were stunning. You could easily spend a day just enjoying the museum which also has a very good café, bar and restaurant. If you are interested in contemporary art this is a must in keeping with the best in London Paris and New York.

I'm not a big fan of modern art museums, because I often don't really get it. But this museum is nice and small and I really enjoyed my time there. You can also go all the way to the top from where you can look over the city.On Sunday (and I think also on Wednesday) there is no entrance fee!

This was one of the best small museums I have ever visited. All because of the major Jan Svankmajer exhibit that was going on. I would have never known the strange world of his works had it not been for this museum. The exhibits included a running of the film Alice along with his other odd works. There are stairs that lead to the small viewing platform extending from the roof. The shop sold good postcards. All around an excellent museum visit.

I thought to go and see their permanent collection. The museum was rated low for being to small and with an entrancefee of $3 too expensive!Local art only?!How wrong the rating could be!Whenever you are near in Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Austria or Poland, go and see these two expositions on Jetelova and Swankmayer. Top class.Amazing that a small museumCan reach such a top level! This alone made my visit to the Zcech Republic this time. Two complete dufferent exhibitions one more on photo and space installations and one on surrealist movies, its props and independant surrealist art.Jetelova is world wide acclaimed Czech artist and Svankmajer will be!After spending a whole afternoonI had a rest in spacious 87 coffeshop in the same buildung.Shows last till september/ octoberDont miss these!

Nice exposition, but much too small to justify the entrance fee of 50 CZK (2 euro, but average fee for Czech museums). However, the ticket also allows you entrance to the Archdiocese Museum at the same day, that has much more to offer.
