This is an exclusive experience! This is the home track of the world chempions in skeleton - Martins Dukurs and Tomass Dukurs, the best lugers and one of the best bob riders in the world. I was very proud to be pushed by the members of the worl chempion training team. It was surprising how frendly they are to all the unorganized tourists despite their great success. We were 5 and we took a soft bob as it was our first time. I got an adrenalin reaching 75 km/h during the race and I am ready to try a bob next time as I think it would be he next level.

Amazing experience!if it last longer i could rate it better than bungee jumping i think! There are two types of vehicles to go down the stage.I suppose the (plastic) one is more for tourists and less dangerous/slower.I ride the sport one and its speed is amazing!I recomend it, only people with problems on neck or lower back should avoid it cause the vibrations your body receives are huge.

We visited over new year 2014/15and had a great time doing this activity! As there were 10 of us we easily filled up two bobsleids and probably had a faster run . we paid 10 euros each for a single trip down - the bobsleigh however is not the main attraction! after a minute of hurtling at speeds of 80 km/h downhill you are put in the back of a van with the bobsleighs and go hurtling uphill grabbing onto the metal frame of the stand! Excellent trip and definately worth my 20 euros...we had to go twice!

My girlfriend and i went there and enjoyed a superb ride in the vučko (bobsleigh wannabe for begginers).Well i didnt spect such a funny ride. When we arrive to the end of the track my only wish was just goto the top of the track and ride another time. If you go to Sigulda don't miss the chance!!

Great fun, albeit pricey for all of 45-50 seconds of pure adrenaline! Its definitely worth doing - its great fun and not something you can always do in other countries so worth trying out if you have the time. We got the local bus/coach from Riga, which took about 1 hour. From the main bus/train station in Sigulda, the track is about 10-15 minutes walk away, albeit my friend and I went the wrong way and so it took us double that (I blame the sign posts!). That aside, the actual bobsleigh is awesome fun. We paid 50 euros each, which is expensive for the sake of just 45-50 seconds of action but when you are on holiday it doesn't really matter provided you have a good time, which we most certainly did! We got the train back which took about 1 hour 15 minutes. It is actually quite a long day once you factor in travel to and from Sigulda, walking to the track and back, and waiting for, and then having, your turn on the track, so my one recommendation would be to go early and plan it properly if you are taking a large group of friends (e.g. stag do or break with the mates) otherwise you'll be surprised at how quickly time flies. In summary, great fun and definitely worth doing despite the price tag. If your hostel/hotel can arrange it all for you (take you in their own car etc.), it might be worth doing it this way if only to save some time otherwise public transport is fine. Highly recommend it - makes you feel like an Olympian for all of 50 seconds!

Eventhough we paid 50 euros for literally 50 seconds worth of thrill, it was definately worth every penny. It was unreal, I thought at one stage I was literally holding on for my life. There isnt many places in world where you can go on a real bobsleigh, so I would definately recommend checking this out if you visit Riga.

Our latest "Cobeytour" trip took us to Riga~ a great City. Our tour leader, Ray, had somehow found out about the Bobsleigh experience in Sigulda. This was pre-booked... and what a booking it was. We went for the real deal~ a four man bobsleigh run with a professional driver. As we all met up at the bottom of the run, we could not believe what we had just experienced~ the craziest thing we had ever done. 100% recommended :) Not for a Sunday afternoon driver. Ha

Sigulda is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes train ride away from Riga and cost approximately 2.50 euros. Bargain! The centre is a 5 minute walk away from the train station. Please be aware that the activity time is confirmed the night before so ensure that have the time before travelling. When we arrived at the centre, many international teams were practising on the track - that, in itself, was an amazing experience! We were given careful instructions from the 'pilot' before kitting up and getting into the bobsleigh. The bobsleigh lasts around 50 seconds. We reached 130 kmph and 4 G force. Fantastic. Once in a lifetime experience! Definitely recommend.

Well set out, safe & helpful staff. There is a lift that you hang on to and are pulled to the top of the hill start. The downhill run is super for kids over 7 years of age and are able to operate the handbrake situated between your legs.

Was looking forward to our bobsleigh experience especially considering we had paid so much for it. When we arrived at the track we were made to wait an hour until the organiser had cleared a larger group of 20 he had clearly prioritised. I guess having a reservation means nothing to these people. There is nothing in the waiting area to preoccupy yourself with when you do have to wait so you are left to sit around and wait for a time to ride.Experience isn't really that thrilling when we did get on it. We had a far more exhilarating ride getting a taxi to the track which by the way is comfortably over an hour and over 50k outside of Riga! We were a group of 5 and had one person celebrating a special occasion. As the Bobsleigh comfortably takes 3 people at a time we asked if our friend could ride for a second time as there would be clearly a wasted space if he didn't go. The rude organiser with the goatee would not let him go again despite the fact the space was empty! in his words they operate the same policy as a train!!!! absolute joke, and a waste of money.
