Part of the valley of temples included in one price of 5 euros for under 25s, (10 euros for above 25s.) Lovely but it was ruined by preservation work using cement and bricks. It could do with some investment to renovate it fully and preserve the blocks better.

Not because of its scale -- it was massive -- but because it is almost entirely in ruins. Only a few columns have been restored, and it is a poor cousin to the Concord and Juno temples.

By itself this Temple would be a tribute to the ancient architects and builders, but within the Valley of the Temples it is just another marvel of antiquity. Don't tell Hercules I said so, but the other temples are a little more impressive.

Most:Alexander Hardcastle lived in the villa just adjoining. Presumably he used his considerable personal wealth to raise up these 8 sensational columns.Least: No more restoration has been achieved since his original work was completed.

There are partially restored remains of this temple. There are 8 standing columns that were restored by Sir Alexander Hardcastle, an officer in the British Navy. Despite the partial restoration, it is an impressive structure and fits in well with the Valley as a whole.

This is the first temple on the path up to Giunone, and is only represented by a few columns, with boulders and "spare parts" scattered about. Megalithic quality, and of an artistic nature which appeals in an abstract sculptural way.Incidentally, on Giunone and Concord, there are six columns on the ends, and thirteen on the sides making for a total of 34. Both 34 and 13 are Fibonacci numbers.

Oh! How those Greek artists, engineers, builders and artisans all came together so effectively to produce these stone masterpieces for us to marvel at now. Spent a whole day at the foot of this temple - painting. (No decorating!)
