西西里岛我觉得 etna火山 和scala dei turchi 是必去的2个景点,白色悬崖非常漂亮!好像炎炎夏季中的一处冰雪仙境,纯白色没有瑕疵,在这里看日落美极了!

A little bit off the beaten path however we had never seen anything like it! Get's a little white on your hands, shorts, etc but definitely a unique experience!

Amazing beach where white rocks made of "marna" meet blue sea. It's not so easy to find it But is one of the best beaches in Sicily.

We arrived in the last part of the day and the view was the most breathtaking scene I have ever seen in my life. I wish we could have just laid on the beach and on the steps all day long. This is definitely a spot to spend a whole day relaxing. There is a little restaurant and vendors on the beach if you need to hydrate. Also, people we giving themselves body masques using the rock from the steps... they would wet it and then crush it on the rocks and rub it on their bodies. This is a must see stop!

If you came here expecting to cool down on a beautiful beach, you will definitely be disappointed. The sea here is very shallow, full of big stones and grass, which makes it impossible to swim and cool down. The white rocks are great for taking pictures, but since you practically cannot swim in the sea and the coastline is not very nice, you will feel the need to leave after a half an hour. If it is not along the way, to not visit, just for this. Sicily has much better places. Surprisingly, Italians are fine with this, the beach is crowded, no one is swimming, they are sunbathing the entire day. Amazing!

Fortunately for us, this was in easy walking distance of where we stayed (villa del saraceno - which was great) and was quite stunning. I would certainly recommend seeing it and if you spend a bit of time there and walk a bit further round you will probably have the place to yourselves at some point. Stunning views.

When we asked the hotel staff on how to go to Scala dei Turchi from Realmonte, everybody told us that it was impossible to go there without a car but we really wanted to try. When we reached Realmonte, there was an elderly gentleman who offered to drive us to Scala dei Turchi for 6 Euro, but we preferred to walk and it took us one and a half hour to reach there, actually there were clear signs along the way to guide you there. The scenery was unique and beautiful, white cliffs and blue sea what a beautiful picture. We stayed there for more than an hour to enjoy the nature and the breeze.

Getting there can be rather complicated if you're not traveling with someone who knows the area or has a GPS unit. We drove down the hillside and parked in a lot near the beach. We parked about 10 or so minutes down the beach from the Scala dei Turchi and walked over. Walking that distance allows you to enjoy the water and sights along the way. You see people coming back from the Scale dei Turchi with white dust on them and they almost look tribal in some way. I wasn't really sure what that was until we started climbing it ourselves. It's a pretty easy walk up the main slope of the steps. Climbing higher is rather challenging. There's not a cut path up to the top, it's literally on your hands and knees climbing to get higher. Coming down is something you'll want to be careful doing. I climbed up a number of levels with my camera gear and was rewarded with stunning views of the water and shoreline below. I'd definitely recommend this. The views will stick with you forever.

One of the many great sights of Sicily, and well worth visiting. Well signposted, and for those with their own transport, a limited amount of on-road parking. Fairly easy walk down, past the entrance to a café/pizzeria, along the beach (where in season there is a kiosk), and onto 'the steps'. The walk around to the far side is fairly straightforward and offers the best appreciation of this 'white sedimentary rock in staircase form'. Further along there are a couple of small beaches which are accessible for the more sure-footed. We visited towards the end of October and it wasn't too bad in terms of the number of people, but understand this is a real issue in the high season.
