Loved the village. Didn't like that we couldn't get anything to eat after 2.30pm! Six of us would have provided a boost to the local economy, but at the time we visited the only place available which served food said nothing was available, only drinks. Some snacks would have been nice!

Not only the castle but the whole walled small village beautifully perched atop a hill.This castle, let's say, is the main attraction of this enchanting village not far from Castell'Arquato. We visited only the fortified tower; sometimes one floor of the castle is open to the public but it wasn't the day when we were there because the castle works also as a luxurious hotel-restaurant. The tower is composed of 3 floors plus the roof top with exhibitions of medieval related artifacts like clothing and torture instruments. Very beautiful views of the village and the surrounding countryside from the tops. Downside: very narrowed stairs and not equipped for elderly and/or handicap.Entry prices: tower visit € 3,50; tower, castle and village visit € 8.00.If staying or visiting Castell'Arquato do the possible to make a stop here. Is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

Be sure to visit Vigoleno if you are on holidays in northern Italy. Tiny medieval village perched on a hill, and not as crowded as its neighbour Castell'Arquato. 5star place, not to be missed.

We stayed here for one night. The castle is in good shape. Internal decoration is very natural to old times. Staff is very friendly And did its best to assists. That were almost two people who served the whole castle and change outfit depending on occasion - guest meeting, dinner, breakfastVery nice 360 degrees view from the hill. Perfetto per un giretto nel pomeriggio. Io ho fatto toccata e fuga, ma è un borgo suggestivo e davvero carino.

Il castello è situato in un fantastico borgo, in un paio d'orette si gira tutto.Per entrare a visitare la torre costa 3,50€ a testa, una piccola cifra, ma tutto sommato molto onesta, la vista da in cima ne vale tutti.

Se vuoi fare un tuffo nel passato e vivere le atmosfere medioevali devi visitare il Castello di Vigoleno. Il tempo sembra essersi fermato in questo bellissimo borgo della val d'Arda grazie anche ai restauri molto ben eseguiti. Dall'alto del Mastio che presenta al suo interno un piccolo ma interessante museo e lungo i camminamenti di ronda si può ammirare un bellissimo paesaggio che domina le colline piacentine. Sempre all'interno delle possenti mura del castello è d'obbligo visitare la chiesa romanica di San Giorgio e il borgo con dei caratteristici negozi. C'è anche la possibilità di concludere la visita con un ottimo pranzo nel ristorante situato sempre all'interno del castello.

Il borgo è meraviglioso e merita di essere visitato. Io mi sono sposata lo scorso anno nella chiesetta e dopo abbiamo pranzato presso il ristorante del castello, ambiente molto curato, elegante e romantico. Il cibo ottimo, vini compresi. Per chi volesse fermarsi per una notte, il castello ha anche delle bellissime camere. Vi sembrerà di vivere in un sogno! Ve lo consiglio vivamente.

Un vero gioiellino per il quale merita di spendere una gita domenicale!Appena arrivate noterete da subito le fortificazioni e un caratteristico ingresso vi porta all'interno del piccolo borgo, con edifici ben ristrutturati e conservati, case abitate e perfettamente in ordine, vecchia pavimentazione in acciottolato, un paio di chiesette caratteristiche e ovviamente il castello che domina l'insieme.Ci sono capitato in una giornata uggiosa, pioggia e un po' di nebbiolina, ma devo comunque dire che hanno creato un'atmosfera intrigante e un po' misteriosa che mi accompagnava nel mio procedere all'interno del piccolo borgo.Si trova in posizione centrale (30/40 chilometri) da Piacenza, Cremona e Parma: se volete visitare qualcosa di bello non perdetevelo!
