Once home to the Farnese family (1583-1622), was demolished during WWII, rebuilt & now houses a complex of museums: an Archeological Museum, the National Gallery, a library & the Farnese Theater.Only the last one makes the visit worthwhile.

The Palazzo is great as are the National gallery, the Farnese Theatre and the Library. However it is in need of upkeep. The park is shabby and indeed the City currently can't afford even to turn on the fountain a great pity but a real sign of the general malaise in Parma at the moment- the City has been devastated by the incompetence/ corruption of the last Administration and the general recession in Italy

If you get in after 3pm, entry is half price and a very reasonable 3 euros. And very much worth it.The theater is the showpiece of the building, but the museum is large and has a lot on display. The building is colossal, which is easier to appreciate from the outside.

Il Palazzo mi è sembrato un molto grigio e il fatto di avere un pezzo mancante (la chiesa all'interno che è stata bombardata) mi sembra un palazzo triste - hanno seminato in grandi cassoni in occasione di expo tutti i tipi di grano antichi - sarà bello vederli tra un po' quando crescerà

Le théâtre Farnèse est absolument magnifique.parfaite reconstruit après sa destruction.c'est unPassage obligatoire . Il faut le combiner avec la visite du musée .

Peccato che porti le cicatrici della II guerra mondiale. All'interno il palazzo ospita il teatro farnese

Appena arrivati a Parma dalla stazione ferroviaria è difficile non imbattersi nel Palazzo della Pilotta, appena entrati si viene accolti dalla maestosità dello scalone che racchiude posti preziosi come la Galleria Nazionale, la Biblioteca Palatina e il Teatro Farnese, valgono davvero la pena!

Un fascino che ti riporta a tempi passati con storia e cultura. In un soggiorno nella città ducale non puo mancate una visita a questo posto .

Per i turisti non può non essere visitato, un palazzo pieno di fascino e di storia, va però visitato con una guida, le storie che circondano questo edificio sono molto interessanti e piacevoli, una volta sentite non c'è le si scorda piu
